Any good alumni network outcomes for UT, UF or UNC?

This thread is case in point that DCUM cannot discuss Florida without the thread flying off the handle. The obsession is incredibly bizarre.

I toured UF with DC. In spite of all the antiDEI at the state/admin level, I found the culture to be similar to UMD - smart, hardworking, diverse students.

They also do a great job keeping a first class education affordable. It is one of the best deals in higher education, both IS and OOS. I believe that admissions is purely merit based at this point. DC got a sizeable scholarship based solely on SAT score (I think). That makes UF a very attractive option for us as we are on a budget/in the donut hole.

Same. We saw students peacefully protesting various issues with signs and tables. It really didn’t seem conservative at all. I guess if the Gov had to go after them, they must be doing something right. Very diverse student population too and they give a lot of scholarships to make education accessible.
