This was my exact thought, because this was me. Diagnosed at 45 and things make SO MUCH SENSE in retrospect. Depression has been an issue for me for decades, but now, working with a therapist and psychiatrist, I can see it was clearly secondary to undiagnosed adhd and not realizing how much that affected me. |
There is literally no indication of ADHD but sure, taking uppers might give OP some motivation. The role of behavior in perpetuating anxiety is well known and addressed in therapy. The role of behavior is depression is less wildly knows but “behavioral activation” is also a therepeutic target for depression. It is the lesser practiced “B” in CBT. Here is a workbook you could order: https://www.amazon.com/Overcoming-Depression-One-Step-Time/dp/1572243678 I also recommend you seek out a CBT/ACT therapist and be very honest with them about your behaviors. |
That sounds amazing. I wish I had this. I wish I had a comfortable bed like that mine is as hard as the floor and 20+ years old. Enjoy yourself! |
The lady if leisure is bored and depressed. Have some sympathy and understanding! |
+1. I have a FT remote job with little interaction and lately I find myself just zoning out a lot and on my lunch break o just go lie down. I would prefer to be hybrid but that would likely mean a 60-90 minute commute. |
