No one is arguing the invited girls are not talented and deserve opportunities but this was an unprofessional shady move from two coaches bitter they were fired and wanting to punish FVU.

I fail to see the problem??? This happens all of the time. Suck it up!

Really? Minimum of 8 offers to starting players a week before season starts? I don’t think that happens all the time.

Tryouts happened and commitments were made to FVU for 2025-2026 season after coaches were fired and done months ago. The BSC offers did not go out until weeks after the team finished at nationals.

The timing is suspect.

8 offers?!? If they actually got 8 and then BSC has a full roster of 18, that puts them at 26. That roster size getting the NM treatment.

10s 09s and 08s moving to bsc. Big big rosters, playing time will not be earned, but promised to fvu players and no fees. they are your problem now.

The beginning of the end of FVU. See you in GA next year.

We have not seen or heard any 09s moving. One 08 player moved. We’ve been hearing about players other than 10s moving but have yet to see it.

1 2009 already went to VDA. 3 are already at bsc.

1 2009 to Arlington. Several others are leaving. FVU lied about the head coach. Good old bait and switch!

Most of those girls don’t need favoritism to get opportunities. It’s a move that does nothing for them, besides getting them very familiar with rush hour beltway and 270 traffic.

It’s not just the favoritism. It’s the promises made (talent ID’s). Oh, and the greatly reduced fees. None of those FVU players are paying full price at BSC.
its always the talent ids that get promised while overlooking other talent. 11s learned how that played out.

FVU 2011’s? The worst team in the age group in the area? CW’s team?
yea sent talent up to the talent ids… for that talent to walk out of the door…..

wasted accolades on players that never intended to stay.
based off the stats and records were those accolades even valid?!

Just saying

Ironic that the head coach for 2010G FVU is CW, and didn’t CW do the same thing you are complaining that ML and NM did? He recruited girls from McLean 2013 top team even though he was coaching at McLean but planning on leaving. Hypocrite much?

This! Cry me a river FVU.

i think this is just the way in the DMV. A different way to look at it is why wouldn’t kids want to play ecnl if offered?! Especially if they tried out in their own.

Two from FVU 09 team this past season are from Maryland anyway and were former BSC players from before.

Come on Michel…don’t lie more about the players leaving. 2 of the players are Jaon’s twins. The other player was offered a spot too.

Curious. Most of the threads here talk about the failure of the USNT politics. But now you don’t want to players to get nods because they might not be with the club next year? Which is it, the best players get the nods, or your kids who stay with the team??? Can’t have it both ways.

were they the best players on the team? Based off team records? Or was it something else. Regardless no players or families owe any club around here loyalty as of late.

Oh snap! Does that mean that 3 ARL players will come back to 2009 FVU?

Best players on the team based on team records? Please explain because that makes no sense.

I’m sure if they were bitter they would have went after your kid too but it sounds like they were just going for the good players. I’m sorry you didn’t get the call. More playing time for your kid next year!

Is the timing that suspect? Obviously, the coaches wanted the team to do well so of course they were not going to talk to the players before the season is over.
And I’m sure if FVU did not let the coaches finish the season, more players would have announced they were leaving sooner and potentially played with Bethesda in this past post season.
Is there ever a good time for players to leave? If they left after tryouts would you have complained they ruined this past season. Also, my understanding is that not all of the players were even registered with FVU for the coming season?
