From my view republicans are pretty much fine with anything Trump does as long as the economy is humming along and they are getting richer. He could actually murder someone in broad daylight or sexually assault someone and they probably wouldn’t care.

The thing is, the economy is sputtering now. Stocks remain high for the moment but it won’t last.

If the choice is between capturing the vast majority of prisoners at a cost of getting it wrong a few times OR catching a few criminals to get it wrong even fewer times, the choice is easy--put the bad guys in jail. Same goes for deportations.
