Did you have sex on your wedding night?

Anonymous
Yes and it was our first time. We wanted to wait until marriage to have sex. We knew that that night was going to be “the night”.
The buildup during the day was amazing.
We left the wedding party early to go do it in our room upstairs.

Beautiful! This is how it’s supposed to be done!

Thank you + the other positive poster.

How sad for you.

NP. The only thing “sad” here is how narrow-minded you are. You would be up in arms if someone was shaming people for choosing to live together or sleep together before marriage, but you feel very free to shame others who make different choices. You are a massive hypocrite.

Signed, someone who both slept with and lived with people before marriage

Nice...thank you! That was my post + am still married 43 years later.

So happy for you 🤗

They asked me not to get pregnant too soon would bring more shame to them. The only way 100% not to get pregnant and not taking pills is not doing it. We have happy marriage.

WTH?

No, we were exhausted. We made up for it the next morning!

Lol. You do know people give their opinion on a discussion board, don’t you?

If you're doing the minimum, you don't have to be bare.

Anonymous wrote:We were exhausted after a long day of ceremonies and reception and just collapsed into bed and fell asleep, LOL. We only managed to unwind on the honeymoon.

That's why religious Jews do it in the ritual 15 minutes between the ceremony and the reception. (Yichud.)

No, we were in a crappy airport hotel (Newark) for an early morning flight. The flashing Anheiser-Busch sign out the window is all I remember.

Yes, four times. We’d waited until marriage, so he was ready to go.

Yep! In between the ceremony and the reception. The venue built in 20-30 minutes for us to have a break before we arrived at the cocktail hour where the guests were ushered after the ceremony. Glad we had that fun moment so there wasn't pressure to do it later. We were in our early 30s and had lived together for a year.

We had before the wedding, so to make the wedding day special, we did something more taboo, which was more fun as an idea than reality.

Nope, we had lives together for a few years so it was not like it was new. So overtired and had a flight to Italy the next day. Plenty of times of honeymoon though.
