Absolutely not true but feel free to go back to 1991 and believe that.

Why would you think Clemson is nationally recognized? Seriously lol

Because of sports.

Of course Clemson is nationally recognized, but one can make a strong argument that it's not national recognized for being a good university.

Look, SC is as backwards as the rest of the states, including parts of VA. I’m hoping in 20-30 years, the south will have modernized a lot more in a lot of ways.

That said, DC just finished freshman year in the business school at SC and loves it. Got merit aid enough to make it the same cost as in state VA and a scholarship and made tons of friends from all over the country, without having to join a fraternity/sorority. They also did well academically but were challenged and learned a lot. Not worried about getting a job either.

People can keep bashing the SEC schools but we’re happy.

Whether you admit it or not, the reality is your kid is going to school with tons of kids who believe in this stuff. If you're okay with that, then fine, but don't pretend like that's not reality.

People have been hoping that for a lot longer than 20-30 years.

There are crazy backward people at every school. SC does have more conservatives, but it’s a major public university with kids with a variety of backgrounds and thoughts. I’d be more concerned about my kid going to Liberty or BYU with their religious indoctrination. They’ll be fine, and hey maybe they’ll change someone’s mind. Not expecting it though.

On average, SC has an 81% job placement rate after three months of graduation (higher for intl bus and lower for fields like marketing…rest are all about the average).

Seems OK…but nothing special.

I had read the job placement rate also. I was surprised it wasn’t higher.

It’s a Google search combined with looking at the placement stats for undergrad that the school itself advertises.

You are free to do both…but you sound like a lazy piece of shit which is most of DCUM.

The “national average” is meaningless across 3000 four year colleges.
