Spraying Neighbors Dandelions

I spray Spectracide Weed Stop for Lawns.

The Spectracide granular Weed Stop for Lawns I run spreader somewhat close to property line but try to stay a bit back. That is just twice a year.

The spray is pretty much invisible. I have a nozzle so I am back a foot or two from the property line.

I dont care what happens theirside. But Dandelions in April once they go to seed the wind takes them on my house.

Three weeks ago I did the granular stuff front yard. Then two weeks ago Sprayed all the popping up Dandelions, Last weekend and Last Tuesday I hit the Dandelions that popped up again. Then I hit them again this Saturday morning by dropping granular killer on leaves of last few left. Then on late Sunday afternoon yesterday I went out and any left I pulled by roots.

I am free of them for now. My gardener has not come yet. He may come late next week so I guess on Tuesday when I WFH I will hit the last of them. Once he is cutting weekly not an issue.

I am not doing it rear yard, I have kids a dog etc. I just want my front patch to look good. And it is all lawn up there. So no creatures hanging out.

I am sure the renter does not care. Not his house and he has no kids or pets. The other women I cant tell if she is a crunch person or cheap. She had cameras up her property so I only spray a bit back. But over spray I am all for. She should not have weeds on the property line.

Why should this matter, OP?

Are you saying all the chemicals you are using would be bad for your children and pet?

I love dandelions! and clovers, and buttercups, and violets. My husband wanted to mow this evening and I wouldn't let him. I want to wait another week at least to enjoy the beautiful flowers that come up this time of year.

I did not understand this hate for native plants until I realized that these are extremely anxious people who have a pathological need for control over their lives, and they choose to express it through selective culling of anything they believe is a "weed". Even though there is no difference between a weed and a plant, biologically speaking.

Dandelions are cheerful and beneficial to the environment, OP. You're the opposite. Stop hastening everyone to their graves with your cancer-causing sprays.

I would never use poisons/sprays on dandelions. I just use a full-size shovel to pop them right out of the ground. They come right up, no problem. Don't spray poisons and risk health issues.

I admire your enjoyment of nature's bounty. I love spring blossoms too.

I enjoy throwing trash all over your front lawn should I be allowed to do that. You weeds seeds are blowing all over your neighbors house who now have to pay hundreds to TruGreen to get rid of.

If you can keep you weed seeds on your side most would not care. But you cant.

Anonymous wrote:You are spreading carcinogens in your neighborhood, OP. Shame on you. While sadly the US still allows these products and no one can stop you from using them on your property, don't you dare spray on properties that are not your own. That's illegal, and I would come at you with everything I've got.

Ok Golden Girl. Time to wheel you back in for your nap.

Plants aren’t trash, ya dingbat. I think your poisons have already addled your brain.

You are literally insane. You’re upset about the wind. Part of living in a neighborhood is that things nearby properties (e.g. seeds, leaves, water run off, etc.) will carry over to your property.

If you can’t handle the reality of the natural world this way then I recommend not having neighbors close by.

Or you could chill, stop poisoning the planet, and enjoy the cheerful spots of dandelion yellow sunshine on your lawn.

If a neighbor sprayed my lawn because of dandelions I'd make it my mission to walk the neighborhood picking as many dandelion stalks as I could and blow bunch after bunch while walking all over their lawn. It would look like spring in a cottonwood forest.

Or maybe just get one of those Round-Up autosprayers and make a modern art masterpiece out of their lawn.

NO.
I eat my dandelion greens and I feed my bunny the flowers.
