I swear Miami of Ohio has been called a public Ivy too. When will it end?!

Is it on this list? I think it’s alway been about its beautiful campus.

No, sorry, don’t think so and didn’t read list. Was just referring to the label.

An update of the (somewhat controversial) list from last year. Mostly the same as last year, but with a few colleges swapped out

New to this year's list:
WashU St. Louis
Tufts
Purdue
West Point
UPitt
William & Mary

The addition of washU and W&M make the list better than last years list…but…why the obsession with a sports league? Why not just borderline-elites or something.

W&M is no where near an ivy for heavens sake

Deep breaths, Linda

I think the fact that you read that comment as aggressive or angry is where you should take many breaths. It’s just true.

Again, Linda, you need to calm down. You are not in danger, no one is coming for you. In through the nose...

This list isn't a "Public Ivy" list, it's a "New Ivy" list. Yes, both are made up. Public Ivy does have a Wikipedia page, though.

I think the point is to say that these are rigorous and selective schools. That's all. It's great to widen the list of "Ivies" in that sense considering the actual Ivies have gotten so insanely competitive and expensive. It also opens up the highest paying jobs to more kids as recruiters look outside of Ivies.

Trolling? There's a middle aged woman sitting in a townhouse in McLean somewhere about to have a stroke over a Forbes list. I'm saving lives.

I saw an article but no actual list…is there one?

The article is the list. There isn't a numerical/bullet list.

Joke. I see a few swiped out include BC. BC should def be included over Pitt, Purdue, and William and Mary. W and M is ranked much lower.

Why? BC has a 1470 median SAT with 50% submitting scores while W&M has the same median with 60% submitting.

I am still confused about where the actual list is. The article only covers the new schools. I would like to see the full list so I can know based on the inclusion or exclusion of my child’s school whether I think this is a prescient, methodologically sound assessment of schools on the rise or drivel.
