Agree with WashU being on the list.

An update of the (somewhat controversial) list from last year. Mostly the same as last year, but with a few colleges swapped out

New to this year's list:
WashU St. Louis
Tufts
Purdue
West Point
UPitt
William & Mary

The addition of washU and W&M make the list better than last years list…but…why the obsession with a sports league? Why not just borderline-elites or something.

Agree. Especially since it sounds like they have concrete criteria for making it onto this list.

There is no such a thing as NEW IVIES…..
There will never be a “new ivy”.
This is a sport league.

And yes, I know all the moms and kids here who didnt get in like when [insert you school name here] gets on those list, but it is better to move on and accept that you DID NOT get in an Ivy League school and accept and be happy with where you are….

I think the term is a little questionable, but the idea - compiling a list of schools most attractive to employers with selectivity and quality academics, is not a bad idea.

That is fine, but no need to call it Ivy-adjacent. Maybe it’s just me, but it doesn’t make me think more of the schools, it makes me think less. They are great schools, stand in it.

Great marketing for the new universities. God knows UVA milked last years list

UNC did the same thing, not sure if it was last year's though.

Survey respondents pointed to graduates’ attitudes and lack of humility as sticking points. “I believe Ivy League candidates are over valued, and they frequently have a higher than real opinion of themselves,” one C-suite-level respondent wrote. “Entry-level job candidates should be “eager to learn, have no ego or be ‘stuck-up’ because of the school they attended,” said another.

This is what I find funny, for my kid to get into their Ivy they had to show a genuine love of learning that was authentic and widespread. The second they landed after being at the very top of their rigorous high school was when they quickly realized they were a dime a dozen. They are humble by nature, if anything it humbled them more!
