Why is being called an “incel” an insult to men in the “manosphere”?

Because you are literally telling them they are incapable of getting laid.

An “incel” literally translates to “involuntarily celibate.”

The wedge is they display characteristics that are unattractive to women — laziness, toxic masculinity, etc. But instead of improving themselves they have turned to misogyny, decided they are entitled to sex, get bitter, and blame women instead of themselves.

That’s it in a nutshell.

The bolded part is correct.
The non-bold part is wrong.

If you agree that they display characteristics that are unattractive to women, what do you think those characteristics are?

They’d be better off just taking the vow and living as monks. No woman wants them for anything - not sex, not companionship, not a relationship, and often not friendship, either. And their sexual development, accordingly, stopped at the intersection of “shame gives me high energy” and “when I have high energy I need to take that out on someone else,” vs the kind of self-control and mindfulness about mutuality that would actually make them attractive.

It’s very sad for them, I am sure, but I wish they would stop shooting people in these high energy fits.
