Ummm the daycare that my children go to absolutely requires vaccination records. You cannot enroll without them. And we get a notice every time they need to be updated. I’m sure some shady home daycares are much more lax about it though.

Yes they require them to be filled out but there is a spot for exemptions by physician. And they dont have to have them on the same timeline as required. The timeline is suggested as cumulative for the age range.

objection based on their bona fide religious beliefs and practices. The Blood-Lead certificate must be signed by a Health
Care Practitioner stating a questionnaire was done.
Children may also be exempted from immunization requirements if a physician, nurse practitioner, or health department
official certifies that there is a medical reason for the child not to receive a vaccine.
The health information on this form will be available only to those health and child care providers or child care personnel
who have a legitimate care responsibility for the child."

So you wont ever know if a kid in your kids class was exempted from vaccination.

My reference to requiring vaccinations in the second part was specific to staff. I am aware HIPPA doesnt apply to me asking whether their policy is that staff must be vaccinated and require proof but the idea that their response was "Its HIPPA" told me two things 1) you dont know HIPPA 2) you are lying because you know outright saying that it isnt required will be an issue for most people because babies arent vaccinated so their caregivers should be and 3) you obviously dont require them so this is a no for me anyways

FCPS officials reported last week that over 9,000 students — down from 29,000 in July — still need vaccinations against diseases like measles, polio and meningitis, potentially putting their enrollment at risk. The division has approximately 181,000 enrolled students for this year, as of September, according to FCPS data.

Hopefully, FCPS has vaccinated the rest of those MAGA students. Who knew we had so many MAGA in Fairfax County.

realistically how many babies in daycare are there with religious and physician care exceptions? In this area, I can’t imagine it’s a significant amount.
