I imagine if it actually becomes a real issue in the area-parents will be advised to keep their kids under 1 home until it’s contained. Really that’s a very specific group and I can’t imagine if it does happen the risk will be for very long.
If I had to stay home for 12 months with a newborn, I would have gone CRAZY.
Not to mention some parents have jobs and need to work to survive. Skipping daycare isn't an option for many.
You mean just like we all had jobs during COVID too? If it was a real threat and I had a newborn I would stay home absolutely, even if it did suck. That being said-I would think daycare is a more controlled environment since they require proper on time vaccination. So the only exposure they would come in contact with would be unvaxxed parents and other newborns. But I still wouldn’t even take that risk.
Right but its was a global pandemic. this will not have the same response and people only care about babies in the womb and daycares do not require vaccination. if its exempted by physician its legal. plus on time is 12-15mos. also staff may not be vaccinated. when i asked daycares about requiring vaccinations and verifying they said they couldnt because of hippa. i took that as a no
Ummm the daycare that my children go to absolutely requires vaccination records. You cannot enroll without them. And we get a notice every time they need to be updated. I’m sure some shady home daycares are much more lax about it though.
