The issue is that now your Tesla doesn't read as "I'm a good person" to your peer group. That's a you problem.

But no, I don't think you should commit insurance fraud to recoup the costs in your stupid car.

+1. I’m amazed at all the people with Tesla’s who are JUST NOW realizing this. The guy has been a POS for years.

+1 I started to hate him during the Thai boys soccer cave in when Musk called the rescue team member a pedo because he declined to use Musk's minisub.

That event showed how little and petty Musk is, just like Trump. Two peas in a pod. That what is in 2018. I refused to even look at a Tesla after that.

They are called Swasticars, and some other derogatory words in Europe.

I think you’re alone in this, OP.

Do you live in rural Texas? (But how, they won’t able to afford it).
I notice, here in Nova, the amount of Tesla on the street is definitely way .. way less compared to 2-3 yeara ago.

Sell the car, take the loss … before its losses more.
Replace it with less fancy but more reliable car, used car works too!
And drive in peace….

Personally, if I could have afforded a Tesla years ago I would have bought one. The EV start was great. Now I do judge. If I had one and did not want to take the monetary hit, I would cover it in anti Elon stickers and keep driving it.

Rubbish. They are literally everywhere in NoVa. A desire for political schadenfreude does not replace reality.

Definitely not if you pay attention. I drive alot and around here. There are still tesla but its way less compared the first time they launched it .. and it is supposedly more since they produce more and time passed, but I don’t see it.

Just open your eyes. You can't stop at a stoplight without several in the lanes around you.

I took a loss to get rid of mine. Was worried about further depreciation so moved quickly. My loss doesn’t compare in the least to people who are suddenly jobless because of this lunatic. I can’t support cruelty. I voted but this is one more thing I can do.

We've known who Musk was for a long time, OP. I feel like this is very much on you. (The fact that you purchased one of his cars, I mean. Not the fact that he's dismantling the government. That's not on you.)

We got rid of all our Tesla stock over 7 years ago. Musk has been awful for a long time.

This is why we never bought a Tesla. Anyone that drives or owns one is a pro-MAGA devil working to destroy everything that is wonderful and beautiful in our country.

Exactly.

He’s been a POS at least as long as Trump.

Nobody driving a Ford considers that they are thereby endorsing Henry Ford's despicable antisemitic views. Nobody driving Japanese cars is viewed as endorsing Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941 or Japanese atrocities during WWII. Nobody driving a German car is signaling that they support National Socialism. They're just driving a car.

My grandparents would never consider a Ford or German car, they were closer to the issue. Tesla owners are closer to the issue too.
