Bought a Tesla now I hate it and want to get rid of it but will lose money on it

Im trying to buy a Tesla and it’s crazy competitive for one that’s in stock. They just raised their prices too. And their stock is wild.

I think you’re alone in this, OP.

It's just a car. It's only a mobile political billboard if you choose to look at it that way. Nobody driving a Ford considers that they are thereby endorsing Henry Ford's despicable antisemitic views. Nobody driving Japanese cars is viewed as endorsing Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941 or Japanese atrocities during WWII. Nobody driving a German car is signaling that they support National Socialism. They're just driving a car.

I’d get rid of it fast before it loses even more value. Sales of Tesla are tanking worldwide.

We just sold ours to Carvana and got more than we expected. We jumped on it and I couldn't be happier.

There are so many Tesla owners who loathe Trump that no one is judging you.

Unless you own a Cybertruck, in which case, yes, you're driving around in a pedestrian killer, because the crushable part of the front bumper is smaller than on other trucks, and combined with its massive weight, this ensures pedestrian obliteration, so I judge you for not caring about other people's safety.

Yes, lithium batteries catch fire, and those are harder to put out than most types of fires. If you're parking in a garage that's attached to your house or under your building, just be comforted in the knowledge that battery fires are rare... and make sure your building has smoke/fire alarms.

Finally, here are some stickers you can put on your Tesla until your day of parting finally comes:

And the accompanying article in the NYT:

These stickers are so stupid. Most people know that Elon has been utterly awful for a long time, and stupid sticker isn't justification for buying one. If you bought a Tesla virtually at any time, you were an imbecile.

There’s a recall of Teslas due to steering problem - maybe unload it that way

OP try to lemon it and get your money back that way

We bought ours >5 years ago and did so because of global warming concerns. Fortunately that motivation still holds. Tesla has really pushed other car makers to up their EV game, despite Elon becoming evil.

I'm considering a bumper sticker, but won't sell our car. We also won't buy another Tesla unless there's a big turnabout.

Is this real? I was looking at inventory and see a ton in 22101. Everything used to be on backorder with 8-12+ week delivery timelines. Now every model is available, most show significant price reductions and even the cybertrucks are available for lease at like $600/month.

I was looking because I want to short TSLA based on inventory build and what I assume will be poor sales given Musk's role in government.

Tell me you don't know anything about electric cars without saying you don't know anything about electric cars. The vast majority of "recalls" are dealt with by a software update over your home wifi.

Amazon, Washington Post, Tesla, Microsoft - I use the products even if I don't like the person behind them.

Heck, I am living in the US, even though Trump is the POTUS. Why should I abandon my Tesla?

Just do this

What?

A year ago Tesla said it produced a total of 433,371 vehicles and delivered 386,810 in this period, meaning 46,561 cars were produced but not delivered to customers. There hasn’t been a shocking improvement since.
