I am irritated by the "driving is far riskier than flying" posts here. People drive or ride in a car several times a day. They fly far less frequentll. Take a logical step and turn it to scale. Take the number of people who died in that crash and average out the total number of times they fly in a year and the number of times they all drive or ride in a car per year. Give me accurate statistics or just answer the damn question: Dulles or BWI? |
NP but yes. It's closer to the helicopter routes. The other shortway might not be used at all. |
Are you taking metro with private security though? |
DCA = Drive Cars and Automobiles
It is the safer option. Much safer. |
Severely limiting your NS options. But you do you. |
FYI, the FAA just issued a temporary halt to the military helicopters along the river. https://www.reuters.com/world/us/investigators-seek-salvage-aircraft-after-deadly-washington-crash-2025-01-31/ |
1. Whichever involves less driving 2. Whichever gets you a nonstop flight I guess we could parse out the healthy eating options at each airport also.... |
DCA is too crowded.
Tear it all down and build affordable housing. |
^vThis should have been done YEARS ago. |
GOOD! |
The neighborhood children who fly drones in my neighborhood are more capable of managing their airspace than grown adults working at DCA. That is truly sad. |
What an absurd and utterly false comparison. I work at an ES and those kids (even the 5th graders) can't walk in a straight line or remember to cough into their elbow if their life depended on it. |
Have you actually been to Baltimore County? Much of it is pretty posh and very rural. I know anything with “Baltimore” in the title incites fear and hysteria, but really? Also, BWI is in Anne Arundel County. I live equal distance from BWI and Dulles. Usually choose which one has the best time, route and fare. Surprisingly, United and IAD usually wins over BWI and Southwest, who loves to tout their “low fares,” but are often more expensive. |
To Seattle? |
I grew up in Baltimore and I hate going to BWI but it’s not out of fear of crime. It’s nowhere near Baltimore City. It’s a $hit show to park there. Give me DCA any day. Or night. |
