MCPS Code Green Thursday On-Time Opening. Also open for activities Wednesday.

Instead of complaining, my husband and I hussled and both split taking a day off (we have two ES kids that don’t get on the bus until 11am) and changed around meetings and appointments.

And MCPS calls it a moment of joy.

Agree. They messed up so bad yesterday, most high schools canceled sports practices that didn’t need to be and teens were already going home before MCPS changed the error.

Whoever decides who writes, edits, and submits these notifications needs to be fired.

You're looking at Taylor, Essie and Cram.

Not an mcps call. Look elsewhere for your explanation.

Right. They should not have done it in the first place but given they announced it 2 days ago they should have just kept it knowing they announced it early so that parents could make plans. Changing things around at the last minute and then claiming it's a moment of joy is disrespectful to thousands of families.

Same. My teen loves to relax instead of waking up before dawn, but her math teacher will be so happy! She hates administering tests on shortened periods, and now she'll be able to squeeze in all the end of semester tests

Must be that same math teacher lol

Moments of joy because those boys of his who were behind bars have returned to AZ, and other states including back to places in dmv.

Get used to lots of parents making their frustrations about your poor decision making known

They are not allowed to reverse, said a lawyer.

Anyone know if weather related delays also overlapped with any homeland alerts that may have been issued for the area (for obvious reasons such as last weekend and this week's events)?
