What percentage of married couples do you think are unfaithful?

You can’t have any Id on you and anything with your real name. That way you can knock the bottom out of randoms on the road in your hotel room and they can never find you to blow up the home front.

That just takes too much work. So no road whores.

Before email and technology, conventions were great. You would see Sally for a few days twice a year. And the. No contact till the next convention.

Enjoy your STDs creep.

Options are a function of both your desirability and your environment. Those with many options have both desirability and the right environment (think musicians who go on tour).

This is it right here. I’ve only met one person in 15 years of marriage that I would want to have a purely sexual relationship with based on feelings of desire and mutual chemistry. But, even if I wanted to start something there (I don’t want to blow up my life for strong sexual chemistry), there are almost zero opportunities for it to happen based on the circumstances. I imagine to start some kind of illicit affair, you need an opportunity to present itself and a lot of working parents who don’t travel etc don’t have these opportunities to begin with. That’s why most affairs happen on work trips. Also, with social media, tech, doorbell cams, security cams, ways to track people, it’s difficult to get away with it.

Not to mention a lot of people still work in environments where they don't have much opportunity to meet people. Like the most popular profession for women would be teaching (especially if you count non-teachers who work in education) and that profession is pretty much all women.

It's seriously gross.

I think it's common. Wives look the other way. There are also gay men married to women who cheat on the down low. Also married men who prefer jobs with lots of travel- sex in hotels in other cities is easy.

My SAHM wife had men come over while teens were at school and I was at work. She met them online.

You are naive.

Probably depends how you define infidelity. Full on sex with another person? Probably 25-40%. Doing something inappropriate like sexting, kissing but less than sex? 75%+

I can mentally understand how someone looking to cheat would use hookup apps, work travel (often with the ring off and lies about being single), or sex work to cross that line.

I sincerely don't understand how two married people who interact and have something to lose if a move isn't reciprocated actually get to the tearing each other's clothes off phase.

How do two overweight parents on the third grade class field trip committee who know each other's spouses get there? Seems insane.

It's so easy to put an air tag in the spouses car or hidden cameras. Cheating is not easy.

You are a woman so that's why you think this way. Men are way more primitive and seek out sex whether there is chemistry or it's convenient. I saw it a lot when men were new fathers in their 30s. When men are the most attractive and confident and being deprived at home. Especially if they travel for work.

Go be a woman sitting at a hotel bar that attracts business travelers. They all hit on you.

People don’t suspect it.

It’s incredibly easy not to get caught in 2024.

Google voice—no text message, cell calls or traceable way to detect communication. The internet is filled with info on how to get away with it too. Even how to hack iPhone location detectors.

100%

You aren’t putting air tags around when there is zero suspicion or are so busy it’s the last thing on your mind
