NP. This seems extreme. People absolutely do things like this to “have a go” at other people. I don’t have the budget for the jewelry OP mentioned but when I got down to a size 2 after kids, I certainly felt proud of it. I worked hard to regain my figure and I didn’t mind flaunting it a bit. In retrospect I’m not proud and wish my intentions were better. I wish I were more evolved and secure but it is what it is. I’m sure I’ll get flamed for this bit of introspection and honesty.

Flaunting one's figure is normal and biologically healthy. Why would you be ashamed of that? You weren't "having a go" at anyone, you were proud of your body.

No one I know dresses on purpose to "have a go" at anyone, and your definition of what constitutes "have a go" is entirely wrong.

Same, because the designs are so ultra-popular and well-known. Of course, they could all be fake. But it doesn't matter. OP's relative is not doing it on purpose to rile up OP, OBVIOUSLY.

When people create these threads, all I can think of is that the OPs must be terrible human beings, because for them to think people are doing it on purpose to annoy them must mean THEY do passive-aggressive things on purpose to annoy others.

Everything anyone is wearing was designed by someone. Somethings designed better than others. Some people love soft fabrics, or shininess. They should be able to have that and not have anyone judge them for it.

Listen, I’m not Italian and no amount of Italian names written on my person is ever going to make anyone mistake for one. So I don’t wear the stuff. Do I care if other people do? Not one bit but I don’t mistake them for Italians either

You can recognize Van Cleef earrings? I have no idea.

The clover shape is very recognizable. It's often copied/counterfeit these days so hard to say if it's real, but the original shape is very obvious.

I wear 3 Tiffany channel set anniversary rings every day. They go with my 10kt Lechmere wedding band that was what we could afford the,
