This.

Be better

+1. Every school named is the dream school or ED choice of someone on here’s kid. I see discussing substantive problems. But what’s the point of “schools you just hate”? While kids are waiting for ED decisions.

Come on OP.

UVA - “the grounds” “first years” — barf

Alabama, because I hate-watched the show "Bama Rush," and could not believe how backward and unintelligent some of those women seemed.

BUT, I love the "Roll Tide" poster here. Those posts always make me laugh. Never stop, Roll Tide person!

Cornell because it struck me as so depressing when I visited in winter, like a gray rock of isolation and sadness.

Get a life.

Get a grip. These literal teenagers should be able to deal with people having thoughts and opinions about things.

The teenagers aren't here. It's their parents trashing schools. Beyond pathetic.

You think high school kids don’t lurk here? Seriously?

Enough bad in the world right now. Why create more — for the sole purpose of creating more bad. Very George Orwell Two Minutes of Hate.

So what? Do they seriously think that everyone loves their dream school as much as they do? Do they not have any negative associations of their own? Everyone does!

I’m laughing because my nephew goes there and he’s 6’5”
This has to be the best reason ever for not liking a school, besides the food/product name thing!

All right, I'll play

UVM and Bennington - schools for stoners

'Bama and Clemson - if you are not into football, it's not for you.

Bucknell - school for bros that want to work on Wall Street

Washington and Lee - school for rich Southern sweater set and pearls crowd

University of Richmond - school for dumb rich kids who couldn't get into a better SLAC up North

do you guys not have kids going through this process right now?
how can you possibly waste your time on this when there's so much other info out there?

found some great FB groups moderated by IEC and private consulting firms - have found better conversation there than here.

I don't know, I found this thread fun, for a change. It's nice to laugh. And both my college and my oldest's have been mocked. Who cares?

I'm not Dook fan but if you are indeed that old you should know the lacrosse team didn't do it. I'd be more worried about lax bros as UVA where one actually killed his girlfriend than from Dook.

you're not wrong. But I attended another ACC school and Duke fans/students are the most arrogant A-holes I have ever met.

They had a charming "tradition" of throwing cups in their football stadium. I got hit in the head by a flying cuo when I was there as part of the visiting marching band. For a school that thinks their shizz don't stink, they sure are immature idiots in their sports venues.

And man, what a little pr!ck that Reddick kid was.

Brown. Used to think of it as a place for trust fund kids. Now think of it as the ultimate UMC striver school.

I realize these aren’t necessarily fair estimations, just being honest

Ahhh! We found the infamous Brown troll. lol
