Why are many conservatives fixated on vaccine mandates?

Of course. But that doesn’t mean you don’t face any consequences. You can choose no vaccine and then others can choose not to let you be with them. See how that works?

But this isn’t political for you at all. You are just deciding each thing on the merits, right?

I’m the PP and no I didn’t consider myself political at all before this. I still don’t like everything on the conservative side (I do support abortions until viability outside the womb) but I really hate someone telling me I need to inject something into my body and my kids’ bodies after they say that I won’t need to and we have proof that it doesn’t stop you getting the virus and it doesn’t stop you passing it on. It’s honestly insane and yes, quite obviously completely political.

I don’t believe you. Regardless, there was no nationwide vaccine mandate.

+2. Don't vaccinate yourself but then stay away from my family.

There weren't unless you work for the federal government. If your employer or local school system mandated it, that wasn't the federal government.

There were mandates for those of us who work for companies that do government projects. Everyone in our companies were required to get it, even if we weren’t working on those projects ourselves.

It was sarcasm. Simply pointing out that bodily autonomy for the GOP only applies to vaccines and not women's bodies.

That’s not a nationwide mandate. Nationwide means every American.

So you have the right to send your sick kid to school and get everyone else's kid sick? the teachers sick and the teachers families sick?

Sound lovely.

I remember Joe Biden telling us if you get the shot, you can't get covid. Well, wasn't quite true now was it.

Then progressives said (because they love this force schit): if you don't get the shot, you're putting others at risk, even though they are vaccinated.

Bottom line: we had many people that were too heavy, and that turned out to be the real killer, but progressives again worked to kill that message because of "body shaming" and damaging people's egos.

Meanwhile, we have Joe Biden texting that Trump should resign because the death count rockets past a quarter of a million.

Biden gets in, Covid mutates and he isn't ready to deal with it. He states.... "who could have possibly seen the virus mutating". Plus, the Biden drops the ball on Covid testing kits being several weeks late.

Then, the Covid death count rockets past a million with Joe in office and nary a peep.

I know... you DNC lackeys want to forget history. WE DON'T.

And don't even try to rationalize the record............I don't want to hear your weasely excuses.

You always had the right to homeschool your kid or get a different job. There were not "vaccine mandates" imposed by the federal government.

How do you square this with Trump telling everyone COVID was no big deal?

And you had the right to get a different job. If you chose to work for a company that had federal contracts, then they had to risk losing the work, or serving the terms of the contract. That isn't a mandate. No one tied you down and forced a needle in you.

Conservatives seem to be big fans of death, and vaccines save lives. Can’t have that.

Yet, you're a Trump supporter...because why?

Right. So I should be forced to leave a company I’ve been with for a decade because Biden lied and does support vaccine mandates after all. All for a vaccine that doesn’t work by anyone’s definition. Got it.

The shot doesn't prevent Covid, never has, never will. What it does do is limit the risk of hospitaliztion and curtails spread. If you took away anything beyond that in the messaging you recived, that is on you.
