Interesting. It contradicts what women here are saying namely that women aren't interested in having children with OLD men in second marriages.

I think that the Supreme Court should make vasectomies illegal in all states, no exceptions for the health of the man.

I am also divorced. If you had a SAHM wife, that is on you. It is 50/50 based on income.

And we did not waste money on lawyers. Ex is an attorney. Gender is absolutely irrelevant. It is the income that matters regardless of gender. I know women paying alimony.

Women now make as much as men, so they are subject to the same laws that once benefited them. 50/50 is the norm. And you don't pay child support if she makes more than you.

…so long as you do your share of the parenting and have 50% custody (perhaps even get child support then, too!)

When she described to me the mental anguish she had to go through it really changed my mind regarding pregnancy. I thought it was just popping a pill like Tylenol and call.it the day but for a lot of women they have to go through serious mental issues. Honestly if men know this fact they will be more sympathetic and do their part such as getting a vasectomy and/or accepting that they have no say in a pregnancy. She ultimately lost the baby a few weeks into the pregnancy because she had a medical issue she was unaware off.

He most likely meant to prevent pregnancy. In fairness most men are clueless about women's biology.

I think he must have meant the abortion pills, mifepristone and whatever the other is. If you’re taking Plan B, you’re not yet pregnant and might not even become pregnant, so why would his girlfriend be emotional? Plan B is a precaution in the event of failed birth control.

I actually think that wives should be able to decide if and when their spouses get vasectomies. Most abortions are gotten by married women. I wonder how many of those women were married to idiots who were "too scared" to get a vasectomy. I think when men get married, they should forfeit their rights over their own body. Their wives, if they want them to, should be able to decide if he gets a vasectomy or not. If abortion can be illegal, then women, who bear 99% of the weight involved in pregnancy and childrearing, should be able to force their partners to have vasectomies.

It's not at all easy to reverse and even if successful, sometimes a man's immune system will attack the sperm and he is still impotent. Vasectomies should always be considered permanent. They make you sign papers indicating you understand that.
