I have found them in the past by searching for the district and field hockey and first team. It may help to include the year.

That’s really strange, and if true, definitely not representative of Arlington at all. All the Arlington high schools have recently won the VHSL Sportsmanship, Ethics, and Integrity Award. Arlington athletes in general have a long tradition of good sportsmanship and fair play.

We played W&L a few weeks ago and they played VERY rough. Lots of fouls, running over and through people. They're athletic, I'll give you that, but the "field hockey" wasn't really present. Just a lot of barreling through opponents.

I've seen all of their games this season, and I've not seen that kind of play at all. They will certainly meet toughness with toughness (women's sports these days is a lot more physical than maybe you're used to?). W&L has smart, talented players, including a D1 recruit, with smarts, grit, finesse, speed, and athleticism. Are they perfect? No, of course not. But your assessment is way off base.

McLean played W-L last night. It was a great game that unfortunately was called very lopsided in W-L favor. Their best player is dirty, mouthy, and a cry baby and should have been thrown off the field several times. I am fairly sure the refs knew the W-L players and purposely were looking the other way.

NP. I saw the D1 commit at a different game and she argued with the ref and her play was aggressive and dangerous.

Sorry, an 18yo headed to D1 sports is not immune from criticism of the way she behaves on the field.

D1 Refs won't stand for that sort of behavior. They will put her in her place quickly.

Yorktown and W&L play tonight for their district. Have to imagine Yorktown handles business. They are stacked (as usual) and W&L has eaked out their 2 wins.

I was happy to see W&L knock out Langley. They have been extremely overconfident all season and their Instagram "barstool" page quite insulting to other teams....
