Literally ZERO people ever care about the pommel horse. What a weird and stupid event. People should stop pretending like they care about it. Yay, swing around a couch with some handles. I can’t wait to watch it said no one ever.

I actually enjoy doing archery myself. I find it to be relaxing. But watching it? No way.

There is a negative correlation between sports I like to do (calm, boring, safe) and sports I like to watch (jaw dropping, perception or danger, fast).

I think the announcers are told not to criticize or speak about a 4th grade reading level? Laurie Hernandez is a very intelligent and well spoken person and it seems as if she is working really hard to sound vapid as required because it is not natural for her. It seems like they are only allowed to use a certain number of words per minute. When the one gal fell while jumping on the beam. Laurie and the other announcer were silent for way too long as I guess they had to think of something positive to say. We all saw her fall come on.

Also Laurie mentioned the Italian on the beam was watching her steps carefully, implying that is not the best, but then she quickly added "well she is the one up there" to correct herself, no criticism allowed.

Also so much "there is...so and so so", and "Simone has such a beautiful smile" and "look at her bopping her head".

It all sounds so so stupid.
