I agree, OP. Here I thought being a SAHM mom In LoCo was going to be all homemade cookies and milk after school. No way. Those broads are competitive, jealous and mean as one of those giant muscular kangaroos that try to drown dogs in rivers. They look like those kangaroos, too. They'll do their best to drown you. It's amazing they bring this negative energy to the table when we're dealing with sweet kids. Mean. They also drink, pop pills, and smoke weed. They hate you if you're pretty, naturally slender, and have a beautiful kid. They'll do their best to ruin your life. Stay out of their way, because they're toxic.

I think it’s more correlated to people who buy McMansions in the exurbs rather than employment status. People willing to move way far out for image. They also drive Yukon Denalis and only wear Lululemon. Also, you have to have a third kid even if it’s clear you don’t actually like your kids or pay any attention them.

OP I live in Vienna which has a decent amount of catty, competitive women. But it also has down to earth people who are not interested in the drama. I feel like they (I should say we) eventually end up meeting/hanging out and avoiding the drama llamas. I think the same could be said about most DMV suburbs.
