| Yep, we left there. Neighborhood wasn’t the only reason, but it was the cliquiest place I’ve ever lived. Like being in high school again |
Well THEY are cool obviously. That are frank that they bought there because it's cheaper! They probably hang out at Ashburn Sports Bar! It's the weird competitive ones that are scrabbling to feel better against other Ashburners that are pathetic. |
| I thought it was Ca$hburn |
So go private or parochial, but the moms are more down to earth than what OP describes. |
| If you are looking to escape crap, cattyness, and meanness, you really need to relocate outside the DMV. |
NP but I think it's a line from buckaroo bonzai? |
Well now we know you are trolling since there is no such place. |
Women seek drama. Men avoid it. |
I suppose it is down to earth if you’re more on the far left side of things. This area has a high tolerance for that ideology. |
Arlington is kind of bland but at least it’s not high strung. Might be ok. |
| Assburn is scorched earth ugly. Why live in a visually ugly area with jerks ? |
| Actually, it's not Ashburn. It's the moms. When my DC was in elementary, I saw the same stupid stuff at our bus stop in McLean. You know, women they fight. |
| I live near Ashburn in Sterling and feel the same. Every is so competitive over the dumbest stuff. Bragging about travel and kitchen renos and driving stupid $100k Yukons. Everyone is friendly on the surface but there is just nothing I have in common with most of them. I’m not planning my next remodel nor I am able to compare which private hitting coach is better than the other one. |
| NOVA is a terrible place to live. |
| Potomac is full of catty, mean, gossipy fools. They have more money than the Ashburn crowd too. So if you drive a Kia and not a Maserati, they will look down on you and gossip about that as well. Good luck. |
