Lol. There are tons of reasons to not eat chicken salad. These are just two. But if you think it's the bestest meal in the whole world nobody is going to stop you from serving it. Just accept it can be polarizing. |
Everything seems to be polarizing. Can’t win, so serve something you like. |
I serve things I think my guests would like. |
So what would you serve OP’s husband’s coworker, whose preferences you don’t know? |
I love chicken salad. But I'm picky about the mayo ratio to chicken and I like it with a little extra flavor than just mayo so I wouldn't serve it to someone else even in a casual setting because I would think that their preferences wouldn't match mine.
|
Once OP provides more information I would respond. Which is why I asked who's coming first of all. What I would serve a 70yr old is not what I would serve a 35yr old. |
As a guest, I would love this. I would serve it with one other non-mayo based sandwich option plus a green salad. |
I love it. Probably wouldn't make it for guests. But it is fine. |
avocado toast |
It’s truly bizarre how you keep asking if posters can read, as if they are misinterpreting your comments, and then doubling down on the exact sentiments that you claim people are misinterpreting. I am enjoying how butthurt you seem to be about a chicken salad thread, though. |
Polarizing to whom? I am not aware of any chicken salad controversy in the general public. |
No, its the chicken salad lovers who can't imagine why this wouldn't be the most perfect meal. My meaning was clear but people got so insulted that MeeMaw's recipe might not be beloved by all. |
It's hysterical how out of touch people on here are. |
Yeah, avacados are inciting violence and deforestation in Mexico. Good choice. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/latino/mexicos-avocados-face-fallout-violence-deforestation-rcna16555 |
And yet there’s still not a single non-chicken salad recommendation given in this entire thread, except for avocado toast, which I’m pretty sure was a joke. |
