Do you think most men who travel a lot cheat?

There are some that do enjoy the break but they tend to order room service and veg in front of the TV in peace.

So, which branch of accounting are you in?

You must work with boring people. We definitely work hard and party hard.

Boring or kind of pathetic? If you are over 30 or have a family, the "work hard party hard" way of life just screams desperately trying to re-live your glory days. At some point maybe you will see the value in taking care of your health and deepening relationships with loved ones instead of numbing your boredom and gaining the approval of people who don't actually care about you.

We deeply care about each other on my team, we spend most of our waking hours together, so it’s a good thing. You need to understand that people that travel together on a regular basis become very close because we are together for travel, all meals, work, we go sightseeing, etc.

I remember thinking “work hard, play hard” was the goal. But that stopped sometime in my 30s. You’ll grow up one day too.

Yes, given the chance, most men who travel a lot cheat.

False.

Yes! If the person is looking they will find on work travel. No need to be picky just anyone for the night. Really gross.

I travel all the time for work (Big 4), never cheated. Do not know any colleagues who have.

Not accounting, I just take my responsibilities seriously. Which kind of free riding are you in?

I hope not, my husband travels 50% of the time as part of the work he does (all over the world).

However, after 20 years of marriage, I trust him.

Not in my industry

Not in mine either. I’m at least 8/10 (or was when I was young, single and traveling several times a month for work) and no one ever tried to “get me up to their hotel room.” I avoided eating my dinner alone at the bar; but yeah, none of that bs.

Woman here - international development field. Know many WB and IMF families. Yes, husbands and wives sleep with colleagues on travel. There was even a change in travel reimbursement policy as employees took mistresses on corporate account.
I was hit on many times on business trips - by both higher level executive men and women

I used to work at a very high end hotel. And the answer is YES.

This is the crux — what does opportunity mean? I’ve been in a job for decades where in travel one week a month. I don’t think I’ve ever been “given the opportunity”. Partially this is because I’m a guy in a male-dominated profession, but I’m very social and approachable and yet never find that there’s even much flirting let alone evidence of cheating.

Is that how you define "partying hard?" Eating food, working, and sightseeing? Okay then. Also, I do all that when I travel, but I still don't like traveling for work and I look forward to getting back to my family. I'm 100% okay being a boring person with a satisfying home life, as are most people.

Over the course of my long career with a lot of travel (north of 3.5 million air miles) I only knew one guy who was an obvious cheater. Did others cheat, male or female? Likely yes. I didn’t hang around hotel bars after dinner so I didn’t get to watch the action. I traveled with many women, both married and single, and we’d spend a lot of time together but it was always professional but friendly. I was and still am happily married and people knew it so there was never a line about to be crossed.
