March SAT results?

School test results don’t come out until next month

If the scores are equalized (or whatever they call it), shouldn't it not matter if March 9 was harder than other dates? Maybe 1 wrong is a 780 in November, but 3 wrong is a 780 in March. Am I understanding it correctly?

My junior had a huge jump from November. They are scheduled for June, just in case. I think the March score is good enough. If the in-school tests come back higher (our school did not do them), does that suggest taking the June test would be a good idea? I'm happy enough to be done, but I wondering if it doesn't hurt to give the digital one more go since so many people were complaining about this one.

yes, I thought one of the selling points of the new digital test was faster turnaround time for results.

My kid living in Canada at the moment wrote the digital for the first time and got 1470. We don’t have any support at school so he just did the online resources to prep. No prior tests to compare to but he found the math hard and is a kid who does well in math.

Agree, they seems to all be talking about no curve instead it is equated. Everyone has a different set of questions and it shouldn’t matter what your neighbor scored. I am confused, why it takes so long for the school day results ti come back.

Well it was a 2-week turn around for the Saturday test.

This is the first set with the split test though. If it is hard, more kids won't make it to level 2 and will capped on score.

the same turnaround for the paper. It was supposed to be faster.

Comments on reddit show many people upset with their scores, much lower than their practice tests.

What if you make it to level 2 but then do poorly on level 2?

My kid hasn't gotten an email --but I know his password and scores are up.

Looks like scores must be up overall -- In December he had a 1360 and showed national percentile as 95th. March test got 1440 and it says 95th for National and 96th for All Test takers.

That’s weird- 80 points is a very big difference.

YES - he's happy.

Dec paper Verbal was 670 and Math was 690 ==1360
March digital Verbal 690 and Math 750 == 1440

He thought the Math on the digital was so hard. But obviously did well.

Between December and March he did the complete Khan Academy prep and he did all 4 of the College Board practice tests --

Worst Verbal was 700 and Best Verbal was 740 -- average of the 4 717.5
Worst Math was 730 (twice!) and Best Math was 790 -- avergage of the 4 752.5
Average of the 4 practice tests -- 1470

He had already signed up for May test -- he's hoping to bring Verbal up with some more prep and then superscore.

There’s a big overlap range.

Is it safe to assume if your math is over 700, that you havd the harder module?

Mine took all 4 practice digital tests and the scores varied by about 100 points. When I averaged the 4 practice tests, it is where my kid ended up with the real test. I'm pretty happy, especially considering the real environment is more stressful than our dining table.

I'm not sure if they should take it again. I want to tell them that they are done, but it's possible the spring tests will be easier.
