Young Parent-Do you pass judgement?

While I try to conceal my age, I can't help but age myself sometimes; I'm typically 10-20 years younger than most parents. In a public school setting it has generally not been an issue, mostly because parents are uninvolved and unseen.

Today I woke up with new found anxiety about my age and how my child would be perceived. The school DS was accepted to is a top school and I want nothing more than for him to be accepted by his peers. I'm worried that the parent community won't truly accept me and in turn it will affect him socially.

Any other young private school parents out there with advice?

How many other once 15 and 18 years old private school parents do you think are out there. How many public school ones?
None that I know or that any other know.

Not many and I would be very impressed with a person who could afford private school after teen pregnancies as it implies they have overcome a lot.

Trust me, I'll be fully funding trips to the clinic if needed, I will not be a grandma anytime soon.

Anyways, it's refreshing to see the honest reactions, as I do look my age. I know you all think it, it's just nice to finally hear your honest thoughts.

Don't worry, I hold my own opinions too, I'm just young enough to know that its unbecoming to write mean things on the internet.

Did you not say you had 2 teen pregnancies? Hold your own opinions?
Honey, your opinions are flawed. Not writing “mean things on the internet” is what you’re concerned about?

My child’s private school has a student ratio of 40% who pay no tuition.
You don’t know that all privates do this?

Simple, donations pay for it.

Quick learner? You had two babies as a teen. I would say otherwise.

Wtf?

Schoolmarmish attitudes like those on display here are why the birth rate is crashing and we have to import illegals to keep the economy going. Thanks for destroying America, ladies.

Looking into some reading comprehension exercises as a refresher would be a good idea for you. She literally said that wasn’t her, honey.

Some folks on DCUM need to get a grip. Go ahead and share your honest opinions but stop biting back when others don’t agree.

Having more than about 30% of students on SOME aid is considered unsustainable for private schools, so no, this is not typical.

Please OP just because you are young doesn't mean you have to be immature. Don't care about what the other parents think, *that* will make you seem young, not what you look like.

So, we should promote teen pregnancies.

Sorry, the school has been open for nearly a century so you would be wrong.

JFC learn how to internet! Do you not realize that all of these comments are coming from wildly different people and that we're all using the honor system when we declare OP, PP etc?

OP is probably more worried about interacting with inept old parents like you who don't understand how an anonymous message board works!

So many men marry women 5-15 years younger, o wouldn’t even worry.
