“we get to align with the federation and a seat at the table and access to many educational, grant benefits and align ourselves with other partners in the ecosystem for the betterment of the game which will also lift our platform.”

You read that … Align ourselves with other partners in the ecosystem for the betterment of the game which will also lift our program.

Who do you think the ecosystem is?

Well…

US SOCCER
USMNT, USWNT, MLS, NWSL.

Spin it how you want, but you will have to play mls next or GA to be considered for uswnt.

A bit of all of the above.

Pathway to NWSL, USWNT..

Considered for uswnt? Isn’t that like a tiny, tiny amount of players. The vast majority are looking for pathway to college. Does this change ECNL’s path to colleges?

Lol so is Spirit going to restart a debacle of an academy again? Doubt it. Or give TT a ring again

And college is also a part of their plan. It doesn’t just stop at uswnt.

No they won’t, but they will use GA teams to funnel players to them. if there are only two GA teams around then that causes problems. ECNL teams around the area will then join GA

How does that work? NWSL has a draft. Maybe they’ll sell a local club the right to use spirit branding. They’re too broke to support an academy or any other youth player development

Lol. USWNT wants talent and that’s not defined by what league you play in. 16 girls on USYNT right now are from ECNL clubs, 3 from GA clubs.

Because there was no league associated with it. Now there is. Of course even has girls in there. But chances are clubs are going to have to convert to GA

Why do you think folks are mad that ECNL boys don’t appear in usmnt rosters?

lol, no. The national team is going to take the best players. This is pure marketing that GA is paying for. It’s not going to actually change anything

Anonymous wrote:Haha so many uneducated comments here. All this actually means is that the GA can self sanction, which means provide their own carding, liability insurance, etc. they were using USSSA, and USYS before that.

It also allows them to build out their GA Rising second tier that they announced and then scrapped as no one would sanction it. This changes zero in the landscape except the ability to card themselves without anyone else saying how things are structured etc

This is correct. It has nothing to do with Nwsl academies or ynt. It has to do with insurance and player registration.

lol… do you really think they would make an announcement that has no impact on the players? come on.

The insurance and registration is part of it. The second part is access to the ecosystem that includes mls mls next nwsl YNt

How does that access to mls work? Does the SYC U14 GA team get to scrimmage DC United?

Ha ha ha ha. That is not true at all. They take th best wherever they come from. Nothing in this moves the needle for GA. GA is good. Not the be all and end all.
