What workouts have you loved and hated?

Love
-dance (specific class where the first half of the class you follow the teacher in a warm up and the second you learn a basic routine to a throw back song, I don't have room in my brain to retain chereo week to week\0
-body pump
-aqua fit

Hate:
-paddle fit class where the instructor provided no advice on technique, I did enjoy learn to kayak though
-water yoga (so cold and boring!)
-anything with too much jumping

I love high-intensity classes: spinning, boot camps, the old-school body pump at Gold's Gym. I don't belong to a gym now, but love that so much good content like this is available for free on youtube. I was late to the Peloton obsession, but absolutely love mine.

On the contrary, I hate low-intensity classes like yoga, barre, pilates. I know they're working me out, but they're so slow and boring that my mind wanders and I feel like I'm wasting time. Ditto for classes that have too much down time - either rest periods or huge amounts of time to teach you choreography.

And swimming - so so so so boring. I want to learn to love it, but I can't.

Honestly anything that requires you to
Sign up (kickboxing, Orange Theory, barre) bc I get bored and I feel like doing repetitive stuff can lead to fitness slump and injury. I do YouTube now (mix of Pilates, Caroline Girvan, yoga) and I’m fit.

Love:
Heavy weight training, especially leg day.
Running, both slow and steady and sprints/hills, when I am not injured.
P90X (back in the day).

Hate:
Any niche small group classes like orange theory, barre, cardio dance at equinox, etc.

Middle:
Peloton rides - enjoy it when I do them, but don’t get the same high as running.

Love:
Hiking / backpacking
Rock climbing
Skiing & snowboarding
Cycling
Weights

Hate:
Running
Anything high impact (joints and bladder can't handle a lot of bouncing)
Contact or competitive sports, I prefer to challenge myself at my own pace and just don't find it motivating to be in a race or competition against others.

I love CrossFit and those style workouts. They can be intense, but the are over quick and I feel amazing all day.

60 minutes:
10-15 minutes warm-up
10-15 minutes on a lift
15-20 minutes WOD

Done, on with the day.

I also enjoy walking, hiking, cycling…but those are activities not workouts for me.

I love 12/3/30 (treadmill incline 12, 3mph, 30 min) that I often do it for 60 minutes instead.
