From the NASA website:
Do scientists agree on climate change?
Yes, the vast majority of actively publishing climate scientists – 97 percent – agree that humans are causing global warming and climate change. Most of the leading science organizations around the world have issued public statements expressing this, including international and U.S. science academies, the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, and a whole host of reputable scientific bodies around the world.

“Climate science” is the short bus of the science world. A grifting low rigor adjunct to actual science.

The biggest grift is the fossil-fuel funded climate denial machine. The fossil fuel industry is literally spending billions of dollars on disinformation and is far outspending climate activists in order to try and drown out the actual science. https://www.motherjones.com/environment/2018/07/fossil-fuel-industries-outspend-clean-energy-advocates-on-climate-lobbying-by-10-to-1/

Fossil fuels have saved human life and extended lifespan at an exponential level.

CliMAtE ScIEntIsTs… consume precious resources and produce fecal matter.

It's a great thing that we are bringing an whole array of cleaner, safer alternatives to fossil fuels online.

But you do what? Talk pointlessly glorifying antiquated 70 year old coal fired power plants on the internet while consuming precious resources and producing fecal matter.

Plus 1.

Warmers taking off in a solar powered jet.

Not.

Fuel, heat, ability for mass agriculture ,drugs, clothes, plastic, fertizer and tons more from fossil fuels.

Windmills, 70s solar tech is what we get from mental midgets .

These temperature swings have happened for centuries. Get over it.

First time 80 degrees has been recorded in January in DC.

Weather is not climate but you rack up enough of these record breaking temperatures over such a relatively short period of time and you see a pattern that start to look like climate change.

Right.

And the 80 degree temp broke the 79 degree record which was set in 1950.

Right.

And the average world temperature in 1950 was 51.6 F while the average world temperature in 2023 was 57 F.

https://www.weather.gov/media/slc/ClimateBook/Annual%20Average%20Temperature%20By%20Year.pdf

And as said above, a single day is not climate, it's weather. Gather together all the temperatures over the course of years and decades and then look for the pattern. Especially the RATE of acceleration. That is, how quickly are temperatures rising and is that rate accelerating? And, well, the facts are clear on that one.

https://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/world-of-change/global-temperatures
Air temperatures on Earth have been rising since the Industrial Revolution. While natural variability plays some part, the preponderance of evidence indicates that human activities—particularly emissions of heat-trapping greenhouse gases—are mostly responsible for making our planet warmer.

According to an ongoing temperature analysis led by scientists at NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS), the average global temperature on Earth has increased by at least 1.1° Celsius (1.9° Fahrenheit) since 1880. The majority of the warming has occurred since 1975, at a rate of roughly 0.15 to 0.20°C per decade.

And before you say that's not a very big change, the world's ever-shrinking glaciers would like to have a word with you.

How big were the glaciers 65 million years ago before fossil fuels?

Total hoax. Russia,China and Nordic countries set all time cold December records. Ice density gained in the Antarctic over the last ten years. Deaths by freezing outnumber deaths by warmth 9-1.

Ice ages are a side effect of global warming!!!

Shhhhhhhh!

He didn’t specify which calendar when he said “2013”.

Not out of the ordinary in DC in winter to have warm days.
Anonymous
Finny thing about all this global warming alarmism is we’re still in the middle of an ice age. And the worst that climate change will do is delay the end of the current interglacial period for some time.

Climate denying idiots are gonna keep on denying until they are knee deep in water inside their houses. Nothing we can do about it, except move on without them.

Summer 2023 was cooler and wetter than normal.

2023 was the world’s warmest year on record, by far

https://www.noaa.gov/news/2023-was-worlds-warmest-year-on-record-by-far#:~:text=Earth's%20average%20land%20and%20ocean,0.15%20of%20a%20degree%20C).

Yes, humans have been tracking temperature since about 1850. So over that period warmest so far.

It was warmer for the dinosaurs, so not the world’s warmest year ever, and colder for the woolly mammoth. The earth’s climate changes over long periods of time. Ever hear of the Milankovitch cycles? NASA has - https://climate.nasa.gov/news/2948/milankovitch-orbital-cycles-and-their-role-in-earths-climate/#:~:text=The%20Milankovitch%20cycles%20include%3A,is%20pointed%2C%20known%20as%20precession.

+1. Climate change will crush the deniers along with the rest of us. We need to move on and try to fix this and just them continue to blabber among themselves.

Ummm...the dinosaurs are extinct.

Last time I checked, Al Gore wasn't a climate scientist. But neither are the people you listen to who insist it's all a big fake hoax and that the earth is cooling, people like Donald Trump, the idiots on FOX News, Mark Levin and the rest of the moronic right wing talk radio brigade, neither is Tony Watts, anyone at Heartland Institute or Koch Industries, Heritage Foundation, American Enterprise Institute, or the rest - those people I just cited are responsible for 80% plus of your climate denying drivel yet not a single one of them has so much as even run a single climate model in their entire lives.

I on the other hand, track what the actual scientists say. And they say your climate denial is flat out wrong.
