Don't know where you're getting your totally FAKE climate news, but China and Russia are having record heat extremes:

China shattering heat record after heat record

https://www.cnn.com/2022/08/26/china/china-sichuan-power-crunch-climate-change-mic-intl-hnk/index.html

Same with Russia

https://abcnews.go.com/International/heat-wave-russia-brings-record-breaking-temperatures-north/story?id=78446355

And Antarctic ice extent is at the lowest on record:

On a day like yesterday, they should be resigning from office:

Narrators voice: “Jim Inhofe is a happily retired 90 year old.”

"...who spent far too long in office as a corrupt grifter for fossil fuel and should have never been elected to Congress in the first place."

See.... this is why it was changed from "global warming" to "climate change."

Too hot? Climate change
Too cold? Climate change
Too windy? Climate change
Not enough wind? Climate change
Too much rain? Climate change
Drought? Climate change

By changing the vocabulary, EVERYTHING can be attributed to "climate change."

Summer 2023 was cooler and wetter than normal.

2023 was the world’s warmest year on record, by far

And in the south, a couple weeks ago, there was record cold. Does this mean the ice age is coming back?

Weather does not equal climate.

These temperature swings have happened for centuries. Get over it.

Yes, they have. But they. have not changed as quickly or as much. My college coursework involved climate classes and, while I didn't pursue that specific path, even in the 90's the profs said "global warming" was a misnomer. Rather, you'd see increase in global temps overall that would affect weather patters to result in crazy swings, more severe extremes, etc.

So, yeah, it's climate change. And unless you have a specific credential, you simply do not know more than those who specialize in this area of study who say it's happening.

I just posted. And people were using "Climate change" (at least the experts) 30+ years ago. Just b/c YOU -some moron on a website- didn't know that, doesn't mean it didn't exist.

He didn’t retire until a year ago but, glad you like him, I guess?

Of course. That way, any change in weather can be attributed to it. It's a catch all term. Intentionally so.

These polar vortexes are a newer phenomenon resulting from disruptions to the jet stream, the jet stream is being disrupted causing blobs of polar air to be torn off and sent spiraling southward. It's happening because in another part of the globe, warm air is pushing northward due to convection, displacing the cold air from the arctic southward. It's like squeezing a water balloon - you squeeze it in one place and it bulges out somewhere else. This is science that is understandable by a 7-year-old.
