Brittany Peach gets fired

Being on ramp does not mean you sell zero. Sales happen over the holidays. It is usually first one in and first one out. She knows the game, so I am not sure why she thought this publicity was necessary.

She really exemplifies why I try not to hire anyone of her generation at all. You’re a salesperson who didn’t sell anything, it doesn’t matter how hard you feel you worked or what you want out of the conversation, I’m paying you to sell and if you’re not selling I’m not paying you.

Federal wire tapping charges
I'm sure some CEO can lean on someone at DOJ

It's a huge red flag for any future job prospects

I can understand her frustration at having to endure the droning, corporate-speak of these two people she’s never met who are tasked with delivering the bad new, but at the end of the day, she’s a whining zoomer who didn’t make any sales.

Nah, I love this generation. They are calling out my generation and older on bullsheet practices that wreck peoples lives. Good for her and I hope she finds an employer that values her and her work ethic. Not everyone wants to be crotchety and old like you, OP, standing by the water cooler, eating your stale homemade sandwich with mayonnaise oozing out of the creases of your mouth, telling boring stories about what you did on the weekend and then watching the clock so you can take an unnecessary two hour commute home and then do it all over again the next day. It's a new day and I'm here for it!

Yep, and everybody knows everybody in tech. Its just not that many people at top companies. And they move around playing musical chairs.

When I walk into a car dealership or an appliance store, or some other commission based business, and I’m not looking to buy, no salesperson, no matter how savvy and experienced, will change my mind. When I am looking to buy, the first salesperson to approach me will most likely get the sale, but that’s because he or she was lucky, not because they were a good salesperson.

I am that way too, but most people aren’t, thus the salespeople exist. And some of them are much better than the others.

Sales is such a BS job anyway.

Just the attitude and respect for your coworkers that every employer is searching for. What exactly will you be here for in this new day? Doesn’t look like much that any employer is looking for.

I mean no janitor, everyone gets sick and company shuts down. We could play this game all day.

Sales is a skill, when you have dynamic pricing while negotiating with a client, trying balance volume, profits, and goodwill for future business.

But usually sales get made because they are a fun dude or pretty girl, and it’s not their money anyway (assuming not dealing directly with owner)!!

I actually like his response. It's fair, it's honest, he agrees mistakes were made and he feels badly about that and will make changes going forward. Can't really ask for anything more.

Okay grandpa.

Again, what exactly do you have to offer any employer if this is your attitude and behavior? No one owes you anything.

A notion incomprehensible to most zoomers.
