Rob Reiner: a vote for No Labels, Bobby Kennedy, Cornel West or Jill Stein is a vote for Trump

I'm smart enough to know there are people smarter than me and I listen to what those people have to say.

The internet has everyone thinking they're a g.d. genius, but most people aren't.

Lol this may be true, but Rob Reiner ain’t it.

Why not?

That’s because most of them are too stupid to understand game theory.

Lots of stupidity around, be mindful throwing rocks since it’s pretty likely your house is [stupidly] made of glass.[/quote

Do I hear your house's wall breaking?

Dems support actual Nazis and genocide. Repubs do the same. What on Earth is the difference? We need to get rid of the dualopoly and start supporting 3rd party candidates to get ourselves out of this mess.

Lol. Trump will never win unless they go in and try some shenanigans to try to prevent Biden crushing him again.

Something like 60,000 votes in certain swing states decided the 2020 election. But go ahead, keep thinking Biden “crushed” him.

I mean I guess if Rob Reiner is your barometer for who you should vote for in an election, have at it.

What is your problem with Rob Reiner exactly? He’s just as self made as Trump except he’s much more massively successful than his parents, and he’s talented.

I don’t have a problem with Rob Reiner but of all the people whose opinions I would consider when deciding who to vote for, he would not make the list. I get it, you find him credible because his opinions align with yours. I just don’t think Rob Reiner is a powerful citation for why undecided voters should vote a certain way.

Good vote for the person you want. If you vote for a third party candidate, it is a vote for trump. Voter should understand that.

How is a vote for a non-D or Non-R candidate anymore a vote for Trump than it’s a vote for Biden?

Jill Stein, the Putin puppet, pulled enough votes from Clinton in 2016 to give those states to Trump.

Got any hate for the fools who couldn’t see what a crap candidate HRC was? Or what a crap president BHO was? If you really want to succeed, go big with your nastiness, that’s where the real opportunities are.

If the stein voters understand that their vote will have the effect of trump winning the state and they still choose her, good for them. Educate the voters about the effect of the third party candidate. There is nothing wrong with educated voters (unless it interferes with your con)

Which should you first educate yourself about: Biden’s (and establishment Dems) failures or XYZ minor candidates failures?

If you’re halfway intelligent, this is actually a very easy task.

Biden is not the one that needs to play games with third party nonsense to win. Trump has no chance without this garbage

Pride…a fall…etc

This. Fools like Reiner need to do their own work of dealing with the problems of our society, not whine about those disappointed with the flush, psychopathic major party candidates.

<— This guy fascists, too. So many Republicans so hopeful that a new Nader Nader SandersStein will deliver them a GOP White House.

Well educate voters about how spoilers work. If they vote for the spoiler, at least they will understand the effect of their vote.

Voters should understand that no labels candidate or whoever, has no intention of actually winning or serving. They are intending to help trump win. Voters should be clear on that.

If people don’t understand math, they’re going to be susceptible to not understanding that, in a two party system, you can’t magically make a third party candidate happen. And as a (or a few) pps have said, none of these “third” (spoiler) parties ever put in the work at the grassroots. Why? Because there’s not really a need for a third party. There’s a need for the GOP to stop being a bunch of fascist glass bowls.

Why put in much work? The point is not to win. The point is to spoil.

Psst, the point is improving people’s lives. That your brains are stuck in this sports team paradigm (winning, team, stars, fandom, etc) is a lot of why your politics aren’t more popular.

When has Bobby Kennedy improved any lives? He cheated on his wife so much that she killed herself, and kids have died from things like measles because of his loud public stupidity.

Not an RFK Jr fan at all: he sucks bigly, IMO. I’m someone who wishes the Democrats would be more self-aware and forthright about how they alienate voters, unfortunately this process of Democrats re-examining themselves has not begun in earnest and so we are left with terrible choices.

Ask Hillary.

Nope. But I worry about much of the establishment, both R or D, having this problem. And I’m no stranger to the establishment.

Indeed! She did herself wrong in 2016 by alienating people!

I'm a Dem who also happens to be a Jew, and I can tell you that I do not support Nazis or genocide. That point aside, I agree with you that third parties need more support. But there's a right and wrong way to go about that. The wrong way is for people to simply vote for the third party candidate. Ask Ross Perot how many electoral votes he got. A better approach is to get states to implement ranked-choice voting. I would absolutely be willing to put multiple third parties at the top of my ballot as long as I can put Biden above Trump.

Endorse! Those concerned about 2024 need to consider the opinions of unhappy voters long before they think of Rob Reiner’s opinions!

I am not going to read this thread because there is no planet in which I won’t vote for Joe Biden if Trump is the other candidate.

That’s how our system works best. You choose based on the effect your vote will have.
