It's ABC WJLA 7. Are you going to attack every media outlet you don't agree with?

All the terf ones

Always good to see the misogyny when the mask drops.

Don't conflate women with bigots.

Interesting that you admit that you attack news outlets and use slurs for people who disagree with you. Are you trolling or just lack critical thinking?

I am a DP, but I agree that Sinclair-owned stations aren’t reliable sources. And I agree that certain bigots are pushing anti-trans talking points. The issue with these people is their bigotry, not that they have vaginas. Don’t conflate women with bigots.

Of course they’re protesting about this despite not one trans student at Woodgrove using the other gender’s locker room. It’s simply not happening in great numbers anywhere but definitely not at Woodgrove at all.

Wow. That’s insane.

It isn’t. This is a phantom menace.

That it’s Woodgrove is all you need to know. A bunch of performative shitheads with right-wing parents co-opting the actions of students with actual valid concerns (the walkout.)

I know their families. Most of them were at the Stop the Steal rallies before Jan 6

You - and your gaslighting - are the reasons that this IS indeed a thing.
DP

I'm not "gaslighting." If you don't understand words, you really shouldn't use them.

I know this community. I know these people. I'm telling you, no one is ACTUALLY using these restrooms in the manner described at schools. For one thing, they're really only allowed in one at a time now because of the fentanyl stuff. But more to the point, you'd think there are legions of pervs pretending to be girls to scheme their way into the restrooms and locker rooms. There simply are not.

This is the SAME Woodgrove HS where lots of complaints about sexual assaults at this particular school came out around the same time as the assault at Briar Woods that made the news. Nothing was done about it because it was your garden variety male-on-female violence/date rape culture. Because so many of the boys are raised in a toxic masculinity environment. They're learning it from their parents, who are all right-wingers.

Well, not ALL of the kids at Woodgrove, but there's a group that is particularly outspoken and heavily into the culture wars. And, yes, their parents were all at the Stop the Steal rallies held in Purcellville. They're the ones who drive around town with the MAGA flags off their pickup trucks.

This is concern trolling at its worst. It's performative bullshit. Because, especially for this community where anyone trans is bullied, there's no actual probability of some trans kid wanting to use the bathroom of the gender with which they identify.

You don't know what you're talking about...

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. (FOX 5 DC) - A student in Loudoun County is facing accusations in two sex assaults at two different high schools, prompting questions about why he was transferred to another school after the first arrest.

At Tuesday’s school board meeting, parent after parent excoriated board members, accusing them of covering up the first crime. But it wasn’t the school board who made decisions in the case.

The male student, then 14, was charged with two counts of forcible sodomy after an alleged attack on a female student at Stone Bridge High School in May.

The teen was arrested in July. Parents and the community were not alerted of the arrest.

Your little social experiments are failing. People are pissed off by the idiocy going on, and rightfully so.

DP. That boy was NOT transgender. And the sheriff's office should be sharing some of the blame for that entire mess, too...as well as LCPS. Huge fail all around, as far as I'm concerned.
But, once again, he wasn't transgender.

The other bizarre thing about this bathroom discussion is that making trans men use women's restrooms because they were assigned a female gender at birth will result in fully bearded men entering the ladie's room. "It's OK, ladies, I was born with vaj, I can be in here."

Woodgrove draws from a wider swath of Western Loudoun. It's the last vestige of MAGA country in the county, possibly the region (although parts of Fauquier are like this). It's changing, slowly -- the America-hating seditionist traitor Dave LaRock moved to Clarke County (Berryville) and tried to run for office there, but failed.

Sweetie, sit down. You're out of your depth here. I know ALL about that case.

But if you want to talk about sexual assaults at Woodgrove HS, I'm happy to have the conversation. There's been a lot of them. Hint: It's not the trannies that are doing it. It's the good 'ol boys, including some of those who were out protesting yesterday.

And of course it's Channel 7/Sinclair Broadcasting giving this credence and deeming it news. THey've been in on the national right-wing obsession with Loudoun County schools for well over a year.

There were a lot of stories about LaRock's property disputes (before he moved) in the local papers... he lived in Hamilton... which is zoned for... Valley.

You are proving PP’s point.

So if only a rapist went to a different room, there would not be a crime. Yeah sure that totally solves the problem.

Remember you can only protest things that are deemed "acceptable" by the media.

Good for these kids for exercising their rights and showing that differences of opinion is ok and a fundamental right.

Personally I cant even believe this is a thing but here we are in 2023 saying that you can choose which bathroom to use.

Sweetie, stop clutching your pearls. You could ALWAYS choose which bathroom you wanted to use.

People are ridiculing the walkout because the whole scenario is a ridiculous straw man.

Again, if you want to talk about the culture of sexual assault at Woodgrove HS, let's do that. It starts with many lessons about gender dynamics, male gaze, etc.

That's exactly what his mother said. "
In a little-noticed interview last November with the British online newspaper, DailyMail.com, the mother of a 15-year-old boy charged with sexually assaulting a girl last May in the girl’s bathroom at a Loudoun County, Va., high school that the two students attended said her son identifies as heterosexual.

The May 28, 2021, sexual assault first surfaced in the news media in October at the same time law enforcement authorities disclosed that the boy allegedly sexually assaulted a girl on Oct. 6 in a vacant classroom at another high school to which he was transferred.

The disclosure of the two assaults triggered a furious backlash by some parents and conservative political activists against a Virginia school policy allowing transgender and gender fluid students to use the bathroom that conforms to their gender identity.

“First of all, he is not transgender,” the boy’s mother told DailyMail.com in a Nov. 2 interview. “And I think this is all doing an extreme disservice to those students who actually identify as transgender,” the newspaper quoted her as saying.

The mother, who agreed to the interview on grounds that she was not identified to protect the identity of her son, said her son identifies as heterosexual and absolutely does not identify as female."

Unfortunately I think this is an optimistic take. While it's true that Loudoun and Western Loudoun were historically more conservative in general and that's changed, MAGA extremism in Western Loudoun is growing (and trending younger), not shrinking.
