I am a DP, but I agree that Sinclair-owned stations aren’t reliable sources. And I agree that certain bigots are pushing anti-trans talking points. The issue with these people is their bigotry, not that they have vaginas. Don’t conflate women with bigots. |

I'm not "gaslighting." If you don't understand words, you really shouldn't use them. I know this community. I know these people. I'm telling you, no one is ACTUALLY using these restrooms in the manner described at schools. For one thing, they're really only allowed in one at a time now because of the fentanyl stuff. But more to the point, you'd think there are legions of pervs pretending to be girls to scheme their way into the restrooms and locker rooms. There simply are not. This is the SAME Woodgrove HS where lots of complaints about sexual assaults at this particular school came out around the same time as the assault at Briar Woods that made the news. Nothing was done about it because it was your garden variety male-on-female violence/date rape culture. Because so many of the boys are raised in a toxic masculinity environment. They're learning it from their parents, who are all right-wingers. Well, not ALL of the kids at Woodgrove, but there's a group that is particularly outspoken and heavily into the culture wars. And, yes, their parents were all at the Stop the Steal rallies held in Purcellville. They're the ones who drive around town with the MAGA flags off their pickup trucks. This is concern trolling at its worst. It's performative bullshit. Because, especially for this community where anyone trans is bullied, there's no actual probability of some trans kid wanting to use the bathroom of the gender with which they identify. |

The other bizarre thing about this bathroom discussion is that making trans men use women's restrooms because they were assigned a female gender at birth will result in fully bearded men entering the ladie's room. "It's OK, ladies, I was born with vaj, I can be in here." |

-- Purcellville poster here, yes, I remember that. My kids went to Valley. Woodgrove draws from a wider swath of Western Loudoun. It's the last vestige of MAGA country in the county, possibly the region (although parts of Fauquier are like this). It's changing, slowly -- the America-hating seditionist traitor Dave LaRock moved to Clarke County (Berryville) and tried to run for office there, but failed. |

Remember you can only protest things that are deemed "acceptable" by the media.
Good for these kids for exercising their rights and showing that differences of opinion is ok and a fundamental right. Personally I cant even believe this is a thing but here we are in 2023 saying that you can choose which bathroom to use. |

Again, if you want to talk about the culture of sexual assault at Woodgrove HS, let's do that. It starts with many lessons about gender dynamics, male gaze, etc. |

Unfortunately I think this is an optimistic take. While it's true that Loudoun and Western Loudoun were historically more conservative in general and that's changed, MAGA extremism in Western Loudoun is growing (and trending younger), not shrinking. |
