Yep. I posted upthread but I’m voting Republican for local (supervisor and school board) and Dem for state and national offices. I’m tired of equity and I’m tired of there being no consequences for poor behavior. The Ds don’t even think these are problems! |
Liberals won a decisive 6-3 majority on the LCPS school board. Your exhaustion is duly noted. But you are in a massive minority and are wildly out of step with mainstream values. Deal with it |
Bottom line, my kids graduated and moved on from LCPS before all the crazies took over. If your kids are still in the system, good luck to ya. ![]() |
k bye |
Hahah that’s funny. You keep thinking that. Vote blue no matter who does not equal mainstream values. Only in your liberal bubble. |
Election results would say otherwise. |
We dealt with it by leaving LC and LCPS after years of watching it deteriorate under the guise of what a great top notch educational our kids were getting. For any parent who feels their kids aren’t thriving or feel something is off I hope you can get out too. I can promise you it is not like this everywhere in the country. For those of you who align with their values, eduction and accountability that’s fine too. That’s why we’re a great nation, there’s something for everyone. |
Our issue at our LCPS high school is not that trans kids are using it (fine with me) it’s that the bathrooms are locked most of the day. When we complain, the school repeatedly claims there is *always* at least one unlocked bathroom but they don’t share which one it is and students can’t always find it. If they are gone from class too long or are seen “wandering” the halls looking for it, they get yelled at. It is NOT okay and I will be raising it to all of the new school board members. |
It's not just LCPS. Our RVA high schools have similar issues. They say it's to prevent vaping and hookups. It's turned our kids into camels and they run for the bathroom the moment they get home. All the boys and girls bathrooms, though, have stalls with doors (for now) so we wouldn't care if they made them all unisex. As for the locker rooms, it's only an issue for sports teams (which is another whole discussion)....since our students do not 'dress out' for PE class (which is a joke and another whole discussion). Glad we're done with school in just a few years. |
