They won’t be coming home from college much. No offense. |
+1 The comments are proving it too |
I graduated HS in 1990 and it was a thing back then. For parents who say they wouldn't let their kids wear them, why not? I have no problem with my kid wearing something comfortable to school. |

Its a Maryland thing. I think it's completely disgraceful. Like walking your dog in your gown and slippers, wearing curlers in your hair outside.
It's trailer trash behavior in the wealthy suburbs. And there is ZERO style involved in this look, which is almost as bad as the tiny shorts under a sweatshirt look. UGH |

I’m fine with them.
Slutty outfits are absolutely forbidden. |
I can’t imagine going through life like this, clutching pearls at the benign. |
Weirdo!

Just FYI if you are going to post over and over to cosign for yourself you might want to wait a bit in between hitting submit |
So true. It's so funny how controlling some parents are. Meanwhile their kids are probably anxious, depressed, and have PTSD from their perfectionist parents. Teens like to manage their clothing. There is very little else they can do. My kids wear the tiny shorts and long hoodies or big tee look, pajama pants, crop tops, etc... and I never say a word. I see at drop off and pick-up most kids are dressing the same. Who cares? I mean I wore daisy dukes, leather minis, low waisted tight flared jeans, crop tops, got a naval ring when I was 19yrs old, etc... Let them have SOME control over themselves. You really going to battle this. So dumb |
Same. There are better fights to pick! |
Definitely not unique to Maryland. It was common in the midwest when I was in school during the 90s. And very, very common at college. I don't understand how anyone could possibly have enough time and energy to force themselves to care about this. |
I was in HS in the 1990s and don't recall this. It wouldn't be allowed as we had a dress code. Neither in college in the early 2000s. |
| Only slobs wear pjs out of the house. No one wants to see you out and about in clothes you were rolling around in bed in. GROSS. Get it together. |
Fortunately, I don’t GAF what you think. It’s a beautiful day and life is short. |
+1. No one cares what you think. I’m raising confident kids (now young adults) who DGAF what uptight suburban moms think of them. Nor do I. |
