Same. Im sure they have athletic pants they could scrounge that are equally comfortable. Thought I don’t love those being worn to school either, I’ll take it over pj pants. I also see (middle/high school) kids going to school in slippers and with full size blankets.
slippers and blankets!! Oh my!

Keep up with the trends. As DCUM will tell you, the teenage boys aren't sleeping in pj's!

My kid wears his anywhere other clothing aren't required (e.g. athletic practice, his school has a dress code, and I won't let him wear them to church), except bed. Unless he was sleeping away from home with other people, he doesn't wear pj's to bed.

I was in HS well before the 2000s so forgive me for not being on top of this trend 😀

I was in HS in the 1990s and don't recall this. It wouldn't be allowed as we had a dress code.

Neither in college in the early 2000s.
+1. Blue jeans were in. Designer jeans.

It wasn't a thing in the 90's when I went to college, but I was a grad student at the same university in the early 2000s and many of the undergrad students went to class in their PJ bottoms.

I love this trend. They are practical, warm, comfortable and cover up all their parts that should be covered. My kids never wear flannel Pj pants to bed — they use them only for daytime wear.

I went to HS in the late 80s and early 90s and teens wore them out. I vividly remember driving home from college and my exclaiming in horror that I had on pj bottoms.

I like when my kids wear them to school and hope this trend continues. They are modest and cheaper than the other brand name clothes they want. It’s the only time my daughter doesn’t care about brands and my son wears anything besides shorts in the winter.

It's disgusting and classless to wear pjs to school or the store. Parents who allow this are doing as disservice to their children.

This is the same gross poster over and over again posting the same thing. One second off from parroting the same sentiment over and over again to justify being a total slob in public.

DP. What a weird thing to get triggered by.

seriously STFU already

Yes, definitely it is a thing. Quite common actually. What bugs me is not so much pj pants, but the use of indoor sleepers. That must be so uncomfortable to wear while running or walking fast from class to class… or to catch the bus!

It must be uncomfortable with that stick wedged so far up you a$$. Perhaps some ph pants would make you more comfortable

It’s a thing in the 6th and 7th grades. Kind of goes away in the 8th grade.

I'd never let my kids go to school dressed like that. Pj's are not outdoor wear. It matters how they present themselves to the world. It's a bad habit to let them dress like that to school.
