Most teen trafficking is way more complicated than that and involves grooming either online or in person. |
I agree it just be terrifying for the parents - whether the teens ran away or were kidnapped. Life on the streets can be extremely dangerous for anyone let alone young teens. |
That is what I fear happened here. When are the parents of girls in this area going to wake up to the dangers and realities of trafficking present in our community here in and near DC? When are we going to do something about it?? |
| She has been found. She was with the boyfriend who was also a runaway. |
This. Kids from good homes don’t usually run away. |
Is that confirmed? I couldn’t find anything online. Thank goodness if so! |
Hispanic people of color are more likely to self describe as Latinx and Hispanic whites are more likely to use Latino/a. |
I hope you mean good as in homes where all of their needs are met —include acceptance and respect rather than using good to mean high HHI. MC and wealthy kids do run away, unfortunately. |
Yes, but rarely. Kids from low household income families run away at a greater rate than HHI. |
If true, thank God! I hope these troubled teens get help, as it’s apparent they need help (likely their families too). |
Ummmm no. |
DP. Why not? |
+1 The caption for the photo calls them "teams" instead of "teens." Clearly a rush job. |

Instead of making assumptions about runaway stats, please read up on it and be informed.
