| Probably the least expensive neighborhood with a very short commute to Tysons is Pimmit Hills (as already mentioned on here). But the developers are onto it, so this is what you get for 775k: https://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-detail/2110-Pimmit-Dr_Falls-Church_VA_22043_M61955-70681?from=srp-list-card |
Here is a slightly nicer one in PH: https://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-detail/7446-Patterson-Rd_Falls-Church_VA_22043_M59353-85954?from=similar_homes_bm |

Raise your budget $150k, abd you could have this beauty.

| First two going to be bought up by Merion and well, yeah... |
This. You have no money, but champagne taste. Need to get that reality check. Also, why you cannot live with a baby in condo or a townhouse? Millions of families around the world do it. I grew up with 7 people with 1 full bathroom and sleeping with 3 sisters in one room. I am OK and very successful. |
| Have you considered Sterling? It’s close to Tysons. They are just about finished with the Rt 7 construction. |
| Falls Church is the answer. If you can go a bit above $700k, look at Greenway Downs - this recently sold for $720k (https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/2819-Summerfield-Rd-Falls-Church-VA-22042/51813904_zpid/?utm_campaign=iosappmessage&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=txtshare) or this one sold for $620k within the last 6 months (https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/2812-Bolling-Rd-Falls-Church-VA-22042/51813955_zpid/?utm_campaign=iosappmessage&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=txtshare). Id also suggest the townhouses near Jefferson Golf Course up Lee Highway - has a community pool, playground, a few in-home daycares, zoned for Shrevewood with tons of young families (https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/7806-Hyson-Park-Ct-Falls-Church-VA-22043/51809733_zpid/?utm_campaign=iosappmessage&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=txtshare). All of these are easy commutes to Tysons. |
| I agree that lets of fairfax near 66/495 would be a good option. Plus good schools. |
Pimmit Hills is not so cheap anymore! There are other communities around there with nice townhouses though - the ones next to Marshall HS and the ones off of Idylwood come to mind. |
NP, perfectly fine and good alternatives I think, thanks for sharing. |
A SFH near Tysons for under $700k? You are being unrealistic
You won't even find a SFH for under $700k in the outer suburbs nowadays. |

None of those are close to Tysons. |
| Last home under 700k sold in Tyson’s in late 2019. |
