No. It’s 1 god. I don’t believe in many gods.

I wish the Muslim hadn't jumped on to proselytize because there's so much that can be said about how Jesus in the NT and the Quran are NOT the same people. It's hard to let the simple "we're the same it's just that you guys got it wrong" pass without comment.

For one thing, the Quran's Jesus endorses that book's general position against nonbelievers, Christians and Jews. Including violence, which is something the NT Jesus never endorses.

Quran (9:29): “Fight against Christians and Jews until they pay the tribute readily, being brought low.”

Quran (5:51): “Don’t take Jews or Christians for friends. If you do, then Allah will consider you to be one of them.”

Quran (2:65-66): “Christians and Jews must believe what Allah has revealed to Muhammad or Allah will disfigure their faces or turn them into apes, as he did the Sabbath-breakers.”

Quran (5:51): “O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people.”

Quran (9:30): "And the Jews say: Ezra is the son of Allah; and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; may Allah destroy them; how they are turned away!"

I could quite a bunch of crazy stuff from the Bible as well.

Religions were created by man.

But you can't post violent stuff against nonbelievers from the gospels, in fact the best you're going to do is "turn the other cheek." Too bad you're so desperate to fight religion in general that you're unable to follow simple points.

But we could post Bible verse about acts of violence against women.

Again, not in the New Testament.

This thread immediately became a sh!t show. Reporting.

Only when someone said OP. Could not possibly be Buddhist.

There is no reason why OP could not go in that direction.

You cry “shit show” when the answer is anything other that exactly what you believe.

Attacking Christianity and Christians by obsessively posting fake scenarios in a religion forum shouldn’t be a personality, yet here you are.

It’s not an attack to tell Christians to look in to Buddhism, I know many nuns and priest who study Buddhism.

DP. Yes, Christians study Buddhism and some Buddhists (like Thich Nhat Hang) look into Christianity.

You're so dishonest. The issue is when some of you post about how all religion is man-made, fake, etc. As you know.

It’s not a claim, religion is created by man.

Name a religion not created by man.

How did you come to that conclusion?

All the books, rules, writing, teaching are made by man. Can you name one that was not.

It can be inspired by god. I also think art is inspired by god.

So what’s your evidence that all religion is man made?

What do you mean by all religions are manmade?

? what's the alternative explanation. I'd really be interested in hearing that. Ever read the various creation myths that most civilization have? What's the difference between them and Genesis for example?

Oh good lord. DP here. This seems to be your go-to arguing point on every.single.thread about religion. Have you ever noticed it never works?
1. It's way OT for this thread and wasn't OP's question.
1. Get some new talking points for the next thread where questioning religion itself might be remotely relevant.

No believing in 1 religion is the core of human conflict.

We all pray/honor to the same god. There is 1 and that god is the same, he speaks many languages though.., he speaks to some through nature, others through Christianity, others through Judaism, he speaks to atheists through science…

Conflict is not over god, conflict is over religious beliefs.

let me explain it like you’re in kindergarten.

The sun is made by god, a car is made by man.

Nature is made by god’s , books are made by man.

Morality is made by god, rules and regulations (religion) are made by man.

Do you believe in the Christian God?

I was just reading the Enuma Elish, the Babylonian creation story that starts like they all do ... in the beginning. And then the Greek myths, in the beginning was Chasm (chaos) and begat Eros and Aphrodite and so on and so on. Much like Genesis, they're all similar. Where do you think these stories came from if they are no man-made?

Any answer? No, you only cast aspersions. Try to contribute, it would be interesting, and perhaps even instructive, to learn from you.

You're completely OT with your constant drumbeat here of "religion is manmade." I'm happy to engage with you on answers to OP's question, which is how to find her way back to religion.
