Do conservatives want to ban transgenderism for the same reasons they want to ban abortion?

I’m not Christian. The PP is right. I speak from someone with experience, who has a kid groomed by an online therapist - my kid was just over 18.

They weren’t a kid and they weren’t groomed.

If the church went in and talked your child into being a Christian most here would be up in arms about it.

Not if my “child” were over 18.

Doesn’t make it better or worse by age. Ask any parent whose kid is on the spectrum to some degree. There is usually drugs involved as well, especially pot, and it’s really strong now.

What are you suggesting here? Parents have the rights to veto gender transition of their kids at any age?

Lol you have no legal control over your 25 year old. Sorry.

NP. 100% absolutely yes. It would never happen at my house.

What someone wears under their graduation gown has no effect on you.

Forcing my kids to “accept” and “celebrate “ this a absolutely has effect on me

Famously, everyone must take their kids to Pride. It’s the law.

awe do you need protection from others? So your solution is to restrict the rights of others so you don’t have to be “confronted”by them?

I hate mullets. Would prefer to never see them. Would never ever say people don’t have the right to style their hair however they want.

You seem to feel differently.

You should try to follow it. It started with an earlier poster complaining that her 18+ year old child had been “groomed.” And when a poster asked if parents should be able to veto transition at “any age,” you replied yes.

If an 18 YO was groomed it most likely started in middle school. Or before

If it’s something I or my kids are forced to do, such as the idiotic display of pronouns at a work conference, or attending a “pride” rally at school, then yes, we have the right to opt out with no repercussions

No one is forcing your daughters to wear pants or your sons to wear dresses. Keep up.

And if you don’t want your kid to attend a pride rally keep them home.

The pronouns thing just makes me giggle. And I don’t display mine. But if I were asked to it’s not a big enough deal for me to get so riled up about it.

From the Holocaust Museum in Berlin earlier today. Homophobia, anti-trans, and anti-abortion are all linked:

Republicans are gleefully skipping down a well-trod path.

Doesn’t take a trip to Berlin to figure that out. The link was been clearly established in the US for decades. The GOP doesn’t care.

They forced us to gay marry each other a few years ago. This is the obvious next step!

Did they ram it down your throat? How did that make you feel? Tingly?

We want to ban it because mutilating children is weird, depraved, evil.
