No to GMO foods

I assume you mean "alkaline" food. However, lemon water is acidic - the very opposite of alkaline. A basic chemistry class could help you out.

And yet, it works to alkalize the body! A basic google search could help you out!!

Omg no! I’m a dentist and I laughed at that page.

It’s basic chemistry.

Steel cut oatmeal for breakfast with half a banana, blueberries and walnuts
No charcuterie in any shape or form
No soy -especially soy sauce
Fresh veggies - try to have cruciferous veggies everyday
Real bread - sour dough over yeast
I get the Irish butter
Fresh or homemade pasta in moderation
Oily fish several times a week- I aim for the smaller fish that don’t have the mercury problem
Farmers market meat and poultry
Fresh fruit
No added sweeteners unless for reducing acid (ala tomato sauce) or a splurge dessert (no more than once a week)
I cook mainly with olive oil (I will add a little butter to increase the smoking point)
Some kind of unsweetened yogurt

I do vitamin D from September-March/April
Vitamin B12 due to a deficiency

How do you know this “cleared inflammation from your body”? What metric/test are you using to quantify your “bodily inflammation”?

From a dentist? No, this is junk.

As I was researching how to care for myself, I came across all these “cleanses” and pictures of all the “gallstones” people were passing after eating lemon juice and olive oil (or something like that) for a “cleanse.” It turns out the oil and lemon juice form little clods in the stomach and get pooped out and people think they’re gallstones. It’s incredible how convinced they are even though the answer is available.

Almost all online health information is garbage. I do trust the Mayo Clinic website which has been very grounded and helpful for mundane issues. But I find that nearly 100% of info about diet and supplements is trash.

This. Plus sugar and inflammation are primary causes of cancers.

Citation please.

https://www.cancer.gov/news-events/cancer-currents-blog/2022/reducing-inflammation-to-treat-cancer#:~:text=Inflammation%20is%20considered%20a%20hallmark,both%20promote%20and%20constrain%20tumors.&text=In%201863%2C%20a%20German%20pathologist,blood%20cells%20in%20cancerous%20tissues.

In no way does this say that "sugar and inflammation are the primary causes of cancers." It says that "inflammation is a hallmark of cancer". That means that visible inflammation may be a symptom of cancer. It does say that "inflammation that is not effectively controlled can POTENTIALLY contribute to the development and growth of cancers." But they make it clear that inflammation is also required to fight cancer cells. The rest of the article discusses the details of basic immunotherapy treatments, that is the treatments that activate inflammation to fight cancer. There is no mention of sugar, which is necessary for human survival.

You remind me of the doctors who said cigarettes are fine for you, back in the day.

You remind me of the people who took parasite medication for covid.

The same medication they’ve been giving people in Africa for years? Yikes.

If you're referring to hydroxychloroquine, it's given for malaria, a parasitic infection. It doesn't work on viral or bacterial infections. If you're referring to Ivermectin, it's given for intestinal worms and external parasites, such as mange. You can see why veterinarians use it so much. It also doesn't have an effect on viral or bacterial infections.

Every article I've read makes it clear that they don't know why some of us have issues with inflammation. It is complex.

This sounds like junk off the Mercola website. There are many different causes of the many different cancers. Sugar and "inflammation" aren't even on the list. Mercola will be happy to sell you their "cures", though.

This. So much ridiculousness.

Try it, friend. It might help with the personality. Gut Brain connection and all. You seem a bit “blocked”.

Not pp but you are clueless. It reminds me of the spike in the purchase of hand strengthening devices after a report indicated hand strength was a determinant for how long someone was going to live or something like that. The research made clear that it was just a correlation and that improving hand strength was unlikely to help. Yet, sales spiked.

What is funny is how very wrong the skeptics are here. And how convinced they are not. It’s very cute.

Just like chicken soup. It won't hurt. It might help.

I don’t eat a lot of sugar generally but I adore jelly beans. I ate almost a whole bag (I’m not proud, but it happened) in a day earlier in the month. The arthritis in my knees and hands was terrible the next day!

I haven’t noticed any other food related issues, but like I said, I don’t eat a lot of sugar.
