Clearing Inflammation from your body

I hear so much about this on this board, but have no idea how I can do this? What kinds of things help with this? Any supplements you would suggest?

Eliminate food from going into your body. For example, processed foods, alcohol, trans fats.

The absolute best thing you do is like PP says, stop the processed foods, drugs, alcohol and focus on as many whole foods as possible and try to do organic for the dirty dozen if you can. You need a huge variety of plants too, don't just focus on a few vegetables-different colors and types.

What else can you do? Exercise, spend times outdoors and de-stress. Get enough sleep.

Other things, wear gloves if you have to deal with household cleaning chemicals or try to use things like vinegar more in cleaning. Open windows.

You should be pooping daily and it should be well-formed, easy out and easy cleanup. If that's not happening, up your healthy fiber intake.

Castor oil packs on your abdomen. Nightly for awhile then a few times a week.

Sugar does indeed cause inflammation at the cellular level. Cut it out of your diet and feel better.

While I agree a LOT of these "cleansing" type diets and supplements are garbage science, inflammation is a real thing. Autoimmune diseases are, by definition, diseases of inflammation. There's no way to really "clear" it from your body, but if the inflammation is caused by a reaction to something you ate, then it would obviously help to stop eating that thing. Celiac disease is an example of a known inflammatory process caused by a food. Any supplements that claim to reduce inflammation are probably garbage. Not only are they not FDA approved, but there is little oversight to even show they contain the ingredients that are listed on the label. The only times they are pulled from the market is when the supplement is proven to be harmful.

It's not easy to tell if your inflammation is caused by a food or even another external source. Even the blood tests used to check for food allergies are extremely inaccurate with many false positives and false negatives. However, there are anti-inflammatory diets that eliminate some foods that are common causes of allergies and seem to help some people. If you have been diagnosed with an autoimmune condition, then it couldn't hurt to try and anti-inflammatory diet to see if that helps the symptoms. The truth is that most people do not want to change they way they eat. I was that way until my celiac diagnosis when I really had no choice.

This. Plus sugar and inflammation are primary causes of cancers.

I assume you mean "alkaline" food. However, lemon water is acidic - the very opposite of alkaline. A basic chemistry class could help you out.

Np. Lemon juice becomes an alkalizing food during digestion.

This sounds like junk off the Mercola website. There are many different causes of the many different cancers. Sugar and "inflammation" aren't even on the list. Mercola will be happy to sell you their "cures", though.
