This person has really good schools. None of this makes any sense, of course.

Rice an Emory are the same, and BC and Wake are easier to get into.

I don't have all the info but DDs counselor said Emory college accepted 2463 students and Oxford accepted 2,815. I don't know how many were accepted to both.

I feel like the Selingo book helped catapult Emory really high. Read his book and you think your kid will get accepted.

What did it say?

So the smaller campus accepts more students?

He embedded with Emory admissions and provides a number of applicant decisions with stats, etc.

Lower yield, Oxford is really small and some students don’t want that.

Again, Emory has ed1 and ed2. It isn’t hard to get main campus if one applies then.

What kind of stats and APs do you need for ED?

The EDs we know of were also legacy

Anonymous wrote:So does anyone get into main campus. All Emory students I know actually went to Oxford. People dont seem to give it the credit it should, the main campus is just as selective as vandy or Duke.

Yea Oxford seems to hold Emory back in a way.

Emory only counts legacy during those rounds. It's early acceptance rate is deceptive. Athletes, legacy and Questbridge is included in that number.

The stats for the students admitted to Oxford ar similar to main campus, my guess is that RD main campus admits just suit institutional priorities better.

At my child’s school, two above average but not tip top of class were accepted early to main campus. Neither was a legacy but both full pay.

Both boys which might have helped given Emory’s gender imbalance.
