+1 definitely. It's the opposites sides of the same coin with high FARMs schools where some parents disrespect teachers and academics, and kids follow suit. In as much as people claim "it starts in the home" when it comes to academics, same applies to wealthy families and the sense of entitlement and attitude, and "I know better than the stupid teacher who couldn't get a better degree". |
+1. Absolutely. |
Same. We love WJ |
| I mean, it's the W schools (WJ the exception). What did you expect ? |
What a underhand softball thread! Now tell us where your kid really goes, OP. |
I guess we know which kids her kid chooses to hang out with. That tells a lot. |
Thank you for this. I was having a crap day and you made me LOL! |

It's been obvious that there were behavioral issues at these schools for a while. Just search for W's and hate crime. Sure. They have a high great schools rating but That's just a reflection of the neighborhoods. Lack of poverty. The parents and students are very privileged and unpleasant to deal with. I would avoid it all costs |
| Is Westland/BCC any better? |
If I had to choose, I'd take BCC over any W. It's not just about academic averages, but feel it's just a healthier environment. |
I've had kids in both clusters - WJ and BCC - and I much prefer WJ. Even overcrowded. |
WJ is also a fine school IMO. You can't go wrong with either of these choices. |
+1 I am a W parent and I would agree with this. |
No thank you. |
