Ukraine can win; but they have to be absolute bad guy

I think at the first sign that Russia will use a nuclear weapon the West will abandon Ukraine. It is one thing to waste Ukrainian lives and line the pockets of military industrial complex CEOs, and a whole other thing to destroy Europe in totality.

Russians are literally savages when it comes to warfare. You think they lost 20-27 million people in world war 2 by saving their own peoples lives as a top priority? They got that many people killed because they simply don’t give a damn about any life.
The only thing that matters is some warped national pride of winning. Winning at any cost; sports they cheat; warfare they are basic barbarians.

It's just so cute that you think the Russians and the Soviets are the same thing.

Also, a gentle reminder that the commander in chief of the Red Army was a Georgian.

Ukraine’s best bet is to keep bleeding Russia for another season and then negotiate a cease fire under the best terms possible, likely surrendering Crimea and parts of Eastern Ukraine.

Ukraine should not surrender one inch of land to Russia!

Crimea is not coming back, sorry.

Russia had those parts and still invaded the entire country anyway.

Russia did not invade the entire country. Russia never meant to invade all of Ukraine. Russian generals are not idiots who think you can invade all of Ukraine with 180K soldiers.

But apparently they ARE idiots because they are getting their @sses kicked by some random satellite country.

LOL yes let's pretend a random satellite country isn't getting billions of dollars in cash and weapons nonstop. And with all that, the war is heading for a stalemate.

I don't like the US getting entangled in foreign wars. But time and time again we have sent our money to overseas locations - Iraq ring a bell? - because reasons. We feel we have strategic reasons for wanting to (fill in the blank). I think Putin wants to re establish the former USSR and apparently, our analysts don't think that would be a good idea. I hate that it costs us money but don't you think it's probably a good idea for us to NOT give Putin whatever he wants on a silver platter? What would you just shrug as he invades a sovereign country? What if he turns on another one next? He's killing innocent civilians, you think we should just shrug?

Without costing a US military life, the US and the world has managed to bring the Russians to their knees. Why is this bad? Don't we want to stop the bullies?

Thank you for confirming you only count the American dead, everyone else is just noise.

??? Russia is one who can stop all of this killing.

If Russia stopped fighting, the Ukraine would go right back to shelling civilians in the Donbas, like they did from 14-22.

You mean after Russia sent in it's little green men and declared the region independent?

You mean after the lawful government was overthrown in a coup? People are just supposed to be ok with that and not object?

Wrong. You realize you are repeating Kremlin propaganda and perpetuating a lie, right?

Propaganda in this war is going both ways, and censorship around Ukraine in MSM is strong. In fact, there are things you are simply no longer allowed to say about Ukraine that you were allowed to, as recently as in 2014.

For instance, these Guardian articles would have never been allowed to run today:

Stalemate essentially means the continued destruction of Ukraine.

I hope this ends soon.

Oh, maybe but remember Alsace Lorraine and Germany. Still owned by France.

It's definitely a war of attrition for both sides, but it is also a war of choice for Russia. This war could end today, if Russia withdraws. It's up to Russia to decide how many more tens of thousands of troops they sacrifice, how many more thousands of tanks and pieces of equipment they lose. And at some point there will be families back in Moscow and St. Petersburg realizing that they were lied to when their son Dima went off to war, he was given no training, he was made to pay for his own supplies, he was given a rusty 60 year old rifle that didn't even shoot, he went hungry, and was dead a week after he deployed, and Russia only admitted it months later. The Russian people are being lied to and betrayed over this war.

Ukraine gave up their nukes in exchange for soverignty over its borders. Russia reneged on the deal.

So it is your contention, is it not, that with Zelensky's ascent to power all neo-Nazi elements (that the Western commentators freely acknowledged in 2014) have vanished?

Or is it your contention that neo-Nazi elements simply cannot coexist with a Jewish president?

You should ask your pals Barack and Joe about that, they were the ones who said fine.

You would have jumped up and down screaming bloody murder if the US had put troops on the ground at the time. No win argument.

Fact is, Trump also let Russia take Donbas while he was trying to blackmail the Ukrainian president.

Oh how quickly we forget.

Why does Russia deserve a "win"?

Did Japan or German deserve a win too?

Russia are the bad guys here. They need to be pushed out and their government humiliated further on the global stage so it doesn't happen again anytime soon.

I don't quite understand the delusion that everything that happens in the world is something that the US leadership either lets or does not let happen, as if they were omnipotent like this.
