da fuq?

There is NO reason to be this full of rage at any age, let alone 6.

Says a privileged person who always has food and shelter, never experienced abuse, has never been raped as a small child . . . There are plenty of kids who are failed by adults and the system.
how often do six year old shoot teachers ?

What’s the argument going to be if the parent wasn’t a legal gun owner ? Bury the story ?

Alas, there are plenty of reasons. You must live a very sheltered life.

This student shot his teacher, allegedly saying before hand he was going to shoot her. THIS is the exact reason I've been lobbying for more support in our K and 1st grade rooms with these students who are out of control in my district. Assuming the teacher survives, I hope she sues her district into oblivion.

Who would she sue? The family likely has no resources and the school will be protected by applicable workers’ compensation laws. They’ll accept the claim and she’ll get her wage loss and medicals covered at the statutory rates.

Well they must have some money if they have a gun and "shiny gold bullets".

False. I've experienced emotional and physical abuse, and being a parentified child in Elementary School and beyond. I never took my hurt and pain on others, and was failed plenty by adults and the system.

Charge whoever owns the gun. Put this kid in a secure facility and hopefully with enough help his brain can be re-wired.

I hope the teacher will be able to recover, and not just physically. Plus the kids who witnessed this.

I’m sorry for you. But everyone is not like you. Those things do result in significant anger in some people.

And those people should be kept away from the general public, child or adult. Anger is normal, but no trauma is justified by rage enough to hurt another person. That level is due to beyond their experience, and is clearly internal bad wiring.

Definitely need to be investigating the family here. A kid who dies that and has access to a gun? Something clearly is very very bad at home. Who knows what that child has been subjected to.

What’s your point? A 5 isn’t so bad in these parts.

Are we sure this isn’t just part of the Youngkin plan to fix education?

Amazing how this "rage" never seems to occur in girls who have been abused, bullied, experienced trauma, etc. It's not an experience thing, and it has everything to do with awry biology.

Yes, these people (I use the word loosely) should be identified and institutionalized at an early age. As you note, most of them will be male.

Is that your plan?

i doubt they’ll prosecute if the parent isn’t a legal gun owner. Might reveal thr identity of the kid. If legal gun owner they will probably prosecute
