They do for OOS.

It doesn't. Total cost for an OOS student at GMU, including all fees, is $49,699 (that includes room and board). My kid is at GMU.

It doesn't. Total cost for an OOS student at GMU, including all fees, is $49,699 (that includes room and board). My kid is at GMU.

Ahhh... so GMU gives $20k/yr (potentially) to OOS students to essentially make it equivalent to in-state rates. My in-state kid probably isn't going to get anything... right? Which we can live with -- I just like to know what is possible/probable.

Ahhh... so GMU gives $20k/yr (potentially) to OOS students to essentially make it equivalent to in-state rates. My in-state kid probably isn't going to get anything... right? Which we can live with -- I just like to know what is possible/probable.

My instate kid got zero, nada. No merit. No financial aid.

Most of us who know anything at all about GMU knew that $80k had to be over 4 yrs b/c a state school like GMU is not going to be $80k or more per year. PP didn't need to spell it out for 99% of us.

Most of us who know anything at all about GMU knew that $80k had to be over 4 yrs b/c a state school like GMU is not going to be $80k or more per year. PP didn't need to spell it out for 99% of us.

+ 1. And it's not uncommon for schools to give just enough aid to bring your cost down to your top in-state school. UMD does that. Northeastern does that.. Not new.

Then explain the overreactions above when PP cleaned $80k. Jeff has said there are a lot ufvtrolls on these acceptances posts and us culling out the trolls. Few readings these pages would know off the top of their head that GMU is $46k all in.
